I do not get the Anora hate. Unless you go out of your way to antagonize her, she's a pretty polite, agreeable lady. The only thing she does no matter what is dislike Alistair, and while I know the nature of fangirls, that still doesn't seem like reason enough to condemn her.

I love her hair... that's kind of how I want my Hawkette to look.

It always made me sad I couldn't get thick, curly-ish hair for my Warden, even with mods. And by that I mean natural looking curls, not like she spent two hours on them with a curling iron. ^_^ (I'm desperately waiting for the 'Triss hair' from Rapture's Witcher over at the Nexus).

Wow, you guys are fast. It hasn't been that long since I posted that on DA.  It comes with a story prompt thing on the DA page.

Prompt: Curiousity

"You're new robes are ridiculous, mage."

Hawke raised a brow, "Ah, is that so?" The corners of her lips perked as she spun around once, allowing the fabric to dance and sway with her movement. "I quite like it. I've never been one for fashion over practicality, but Isabela insisted on wearing this if we are to meet with the Count today. 'Can't be taken seriously in those stodgy old passed down circle robes', she said."

Fenris crossed his arms, seemingly unimpressed, "The pirate is the last person I would partake wisdom from, least you wish to strutting about without pants as the darkspawn chew at your leg."

"One time, Elf! That was one time!" Isabela hollered from the tavern balcony above before walking back in.

Hawke's shoulder's shook as she tried to contain her laughter. "I suppose you have a point." Her fingers traced the engravings of the jeweled belt that rested on her hips. "Still... It's a gift from my mother. Besides, it's not a bad thing to want to look a little pretty every now and then."

Her elven companion leaned off the wall, "Humans are your vanity." He scoffed, "You do not need to wear all those things to further enhance what you posses naturally—" Fenris paused, a slight tint of red gracing his cheeks and the tip of his pointed ears.

"Hmmm... did I hear you right, Fenris?" She smirked, "You think I'm pretty?"

The elf glared at her, "I said no such thing."

"Oh? Now I am curious, what did you say then?"

"I said simply that you humans are vain creatures." he growled. Hawke's mischievous expression did not falter, further frustrating the Elf. A Tervinter curse escaped his lips as he strode off.

Hawke smiled slyly as he walked past her. Varric and Isabela soon joined the mage, watching as Fenris stomped off. "What's eating him?" the Dwarf asked.

The corner of Hawke's lips twisted ever so slightly as her eyes followed her flustered Elven companion.

Thanks about the hair. IF any of those 32 female hairstyles are remotely close to that of my Hawke that I draw, that I will be the happiest person ever.

Fenris: Carver, can you remind me how we got ourselves into this mess?

Carver: Well, it all started after our Grey Warden cousin...well not your cousin but you get what I'm saying came to visit us in Kirkwall along with his girlfriend. Said girlfriend turns out to be a beautiful red-headed bard and an Orlesian one at that. Anyway, Orlesians being well...Orlesians said social call turned into a trip to the marketplace. And because we don't get to see our family much my sister your girlfriend decided to turn this into family bonding time. That's how I got dragged into it, I haven't got the foggiest idea about how you got dragged into this little endeavor but I'd venture a guess that it has something to do with not wanting to sleep on the couch tonight.

Fenris: Carver, I was being sarcastic.

Carver: (sees what Fenris did there) Ah, very good then.

Fenris:
Well at least this day can't get any worse. (sees Leliana walking towards him) Oh fendhis.

Leliana:
(grabs Fenris' arm) Come on you, Hawke and I decided that, with winter coming and all we can't have you walking all over the whole of Kirkwall with bare feet now can we? (Fenris tries to pull away) Come on, let's go find you a nice pair of boots. Maybe a pair that will match your hair....

Fenris: (mouthing to Carver) Help me. (Carver shrugs his shoulders) I'll get you for this.

I don't get it either, I actually kind of admire her, many people say she's ****y and backstabbing, I just see her as a strong woman who's willing to do anything to get things done...the way she wants them done XDD

...The only time I betrayed her was when I played a Fem!Cousland, totally spoiled brat who's only goal was to become Queen XD

@Chagrinned Goat I can't lie. As soon as my warden helped Anora escape only for her to go "oh thank the Maker, they're trying to kidnap me" I was shouting some colorful language at my TV (xbox player here) Seriously, "Nikki stop swearing at the TV" is like a catch phrase around here...

But then, once I got back to Eamon's estate and actually started talking to her, she seemed pretty O.K. That convo she starts about Marric's boys was adorable! If the PC's actually had expressions, my warden would be so blushin!

And then! The little witch comes out during the Landsmeet and is all "my father would never hurt me! You're nuts!" (I paraphrase here, of course) At that point...hell who am I kidding, that deceitful wench won me over in a heartbeat. I like a bit of evil Posted Image

This. I respected her. She was a good ruler and she ended up Queen in many of my play-through.

@Doctor: I always look forward to your banters - I am never disappointed.

The thing that I disliked most about Anora was she was supposed to be this great ruler who secretly made all the decisions behind the scenes while Cailan was pretended to be a Grey Warden. Yet when she actually has the power after his death, she lets her father become her regent even though it shows in cut scenes that she's a bit suspicious of his part in Cailan's death. On her rule with no one beside her, she nearly drives the country to ruin. She allowed Grey Wardens to be declared traitors (yet she asks for your help), slavery to run amok in the capital, and the entire country divided by a civil war when a blight was destroying the country in the south. / rant. >_>

On point, out of curiosity, is it fine to post a miscellaneous story that's not from the prompt? I have two I've been working on, one that is from a prompt, the other just was nagging me in the back of my mind.

He has the army and all the political power, and he's her father.

It wasn't "her watch" at all.
