We got to talking about love triangels and squares and it just hit me as something cute to write - it took ten/fifteen minutes and wasn't meant to be taken seriously, or indeed, to indicate the sort of personality I wanted for Fenris!



I'm really sorry about the trouble it seems to have caused, but I sometimes have trouble understanding/expressing emotions.....Again, sorry.

Anyways I personally wouldn't want a possessive Fenris. Morrigan and Leliana's jealous convos irritated me enough thanks.

I have a feeling if my Hawke heard herself being discussed in such a manner she'd not to nicely chew someone up and spit 'em out with sparing them a backwards glance.

Don't be silly and stop apologizing.  What you wrote was fun to read, especially in a "oh look, Fenris and Anders are competing!!" kind of way.  People are just posting their speculation preferences.  I wouldn't take it as a personal criticism as such.  As for me, while I'd love to see some dudes fighting over me/Hawke, the moment it turned to possessiveness I'd get skeeved out, but this is fiction where dramatics can be indulged.  But, a little jealousy is cute, and that's how the story could turn out, especially since you had that cute moment where Fen was teasing Anders by saying "fight to the death" with a smirk.  Maybe that was someone else's story, either way, it was fun to read both!

@ryzaki: I agree on the Leliana point.  She's a good example of possessiveness in DA:O, especially in the ninjamancing.  But a lot of people had a positive reaction to her, despite the mild obsessive nature she had.  Or they simply overlooked it as "oh how cute."  To each their own.

When I think good jealousy, I look at Wolverine and Cyclops in the X-Men movies over Jean. They had a few tense moments and casual banter. It definitely adds some spice to the romance sphere. I like fanfics that use those kind of devices. Keep writing them! I am hoping maybe there will be more comments in DA2 between potentially competing LIs if you are romancing two at the same time. That's be quite an advancement in NPC interaction and I'd eat it up nomnomnomnoomnom.
