his backstory reminds me of a young gray fox (or null at the time) where he's captured and experimented on to become a living weapon, his captors would make him lose his memory after every mission to keep him under control.

After having seen the movies I always get a silly smile when I hear that song.

Lord I hope so, I loved those movies. Though I'm sorry you had to hear that song so much.

I'm a fan of Grey Fox too, I still think he needs his own game. If Fenris is Dragon Age's Grey Fox, does that mean he'll eventually be crushed by a giant golem?

Or maybe Hawke and Fenris will fist fight in a field of Qunari mines. Actually, that'd be pretty awesome.

That is quite lovely.  I like the green lettering. 

Looking at his expression, I get the feeling that he is one brutal fellow.  The expression is kind of intense and while  I know a lot people have undoubtedly said that he reminds them of Zevran (and Ser Gaider has already shot that down), I had a feeling when I read the character page that he will become  a difficult sort.   I don't get the Zevran comparisonas at all. What was done to him seem exceptionally cruel as I doubt he volunteered for it.  I feel pretty sorry for him, it's a horrible thing to have happen to someone.  I don't think I'd be too nice or friendly or kind if I'd been placed in his position.  Maybe he'll become a medievel version of Nat Turner or the like.

That being said, I look forward to his character arc unfolding as so far, the back story seems quite compelling.  Aaand, someone doesn't have to big, hulking, and huge to be ruthless and tough.  To looseley  quote a favorite book of mine, "size is no guarantee of power."  I've learned to never underestimate the strength of someone's convictions.  I look forward to playing this game, hooray!

He does have a really dark expression, I wonder if he might be more of a 'Thane' than a 'Zevran' brooding rather than light hearted...

As for Fenris' personality, I've already mentioned, but I don't think we can draw comparisons with Thane or with Zevran (which I've already said). He'll probably be more broody than lighthearted, that much is true, but I don't think he'll be as approachable as Thane is either. I could be wrong, he could be happy go lucky Genki boy, but it seems unlikely.

Well, I've actually had to plan my first character so I could have a balanced team with both Fenris and Varric, which so far are my favorite revealed characters! Still don't know how much more there'll be, so my mage Lady Hawke will have to wait and see who takes the last spot



I really hope there'll be lots of banter in the game! I love those in BW games.
