I know there have been speculation over how the inter-companion relationships may be (and I think it has been decided that Fenris and Varric will be bros) but besides Hawke (if the player so chooses to follow the rivalry path) of which companions do you think Fenris will have a rivalry with? (I'm comparing this to the Alistair/Morrigan banter, conversations, etc)

I can say probably Sebastian and maaaaybe Isabela (in a friendly way) i cant imagine him arguing with Merill Aveline or "Anders" for some reason

Though i seem to think Sebastian and Fenris' arguing would be minimal and about combat styles and wether its safer too do a head on charge or a tactical flanking maneuver, kinda like friendly debating

It may be said that it's unlikely that Fenris' only "rival" is a DLC character.
I would say Isabela may possibly get on his nerves sometimes.

Do agree on Isabela and Aveline. Though, I'm not sure what Merrill being virginal has to do with anything. And do we know that Varric is friends with Fenris?

I don't think Varric and Fenris will be enemies. At the very least they can have a healthy competition.

I don't see why people keep saying that Merrill is virginal, innocent, trusting and naive. She didn't striked me as any of these things in the Dalish Origin.

In one of the story trailers for DA2, when someone is talking about the love interests, there's a mention of "virginal girl next door" love interests while Merrill was on the screen. Then they talk about more aggressive love interests, and show Isabela.

Trusting, and naive, though, seems to be complete assumption.

No not really it was just asumed after much debate (and i believe in this aswell) that they would be more like bros then like alistair and morrigan

And i imagine since merrill would be rather virginal she is also innocent, trusting and naive.... although i suppose those dont necesarily go together but i cannot currently think of a character with one and not the others

And I have to wonder - How far is Merrill's DA2 personality from what we say of her in DA:O? She seemed pretty confident there, but then again being away from her clan might make her more unsure of herself......And her confidence may have taken a hit with whatever caused her to leave.......Gah, more speculation.

As far as I'm aware, all we've been given indication of is that she's a virgin and "girl next door" type. That doesn't necessarily lend itself towards naivety or lack of confidence.
