How long do you think it took to get those tattoos on Fenris?

Yes, I'm trying to change the subject.

You mean over the years in slavery? i will anwser it anyways, i think he was a slave since he was a little kid that got either sold to or found by someone in the tevinter so i guess some 12 years or something? i dunno he looks pretty young..

I don't know, but this makes me wonder: did the magister experiment on a lot of people before doing this with Fenris?  If this has been mentioned before, my apologies.

Why tattoos, anyway?  Surely there are other ways of turning someone into a weapon?

+1 Pseudo.

I don't think he would appreciate Hawke grinding on his belt either.

Would anyone?

Also, what happened in this thread? I'm scared!

@shorts: So... Around two months?

Does the amount of time change the potency of a poison that remains in the blood? (*is not familiar with poison. Only cake.*)

It's not the tattoos that really matter it's more the lyrium in it, maybe they tried something to him what they tried with Shale, they tried to plant lyrium in his veins so they can tap some magic off whenever they want so i think that's the case with Fenris

Could they simply be a marking? Like those slaves during the American Civil War.

We're run out of things to talk about.  Either we rehash the same topics, post new artwork and stories, or post completely random things.

This thread?  Nothing unusual.  Me?  A dangerous combination of frustration, sleep deprivation, and caffeine.  In that order.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the "tattoos" are a side effect, not the actual enchantment.  But who knows?

Did the Magister try to put it in his veins? Looks more like it is just under his skin and not in his veins.

@Steam, depends on the poison (I followed a toxicology class 2 years ago). If given to a person in low amounts during a regular interval they can become resistant/immune.. so it wouldn't surprise me if Fenris was first exposed to lyrium in his surrounding/on his skin before it was actually injected into his body.

hey, i dont think the mark all over his body are tatto.. i think its due to the lyrium.. i mean... its in is blood so maybe its just give to his humm veins a really stange white color... or something like that...

a bit like his hair?

@ramante: I see. Than you for the answer. I wasn't sure if one could build up an immunity through exposure when relating to poisons. I would think they wouldn't just pour it onto him. On his page does it say "burned into his flesh" or "running through his veins" or something along those lines.

If you get experimented with lyrium not only you will get crazy like and forget things much faster it also affects the insides of youre body not the way you look but maybe he got too much of the lyrium that his skin was affected too, so i think lyrium affects WAY more than only you're skin otherwise what would explain those crazy templars in denerim castle prison, or the crazy dwarf shopkeeper in orzammar.

What did they have in common you ask..? good question.. they all had too much Lyrium..

so lyrium makes you go fly like a g6 and doesn't only affect you're skin ;)

Good point, I was just rereading his information and I'm a little confused myself.
I thought the lyrium lines where scars, but some people call them tattoos, so now I don't know what to call them. xD

About the resistance thing it is really strange and normally happens with weak poisons; so I'm wondering how the hell he survived pure lyrium (I assume it is pure), considering it is described as a very agressive substance.

Sometimes a combination of just that is needed. I applaud you.

maybe he got slowly poisoned? i mean in small does.. till the ''processus'' were done... maybe that why de dont like when people touch him.. just imagine how many time its take to a body to adjust to something.. ... maybe he was with the magister for a very long time.. ''Burned into his flesh'' for me its really does tell that the mark all over his body are ''lyrium mark''

I find that it helps if you figure people are drunk posting.

I'll go with side effect, too.  Like Shale's glowing eyes.

Since lyrium withdrawal causes dementia, weepiness, etc., does Fenris have to take maintenance lyrium?
