"Players should expect to see some familiar faces as well. Since the events of this game overlap the first, it only makes sense for certain characters to be carried over, some as NPCs, and some even as companions. For instance, Flemeth will appear and have a place in the story. Nathaniel Howe will appear in and around Kirkwall at some point. The DLC for Origins is considered to be canon, so some of those characters should appear as well, though it hasn't been announced which ones. Steve Valentine, who voiced Alistair in the first game, has done some voice work, so it's being rumored that Alistair will make a cameo, though that has yet to be confirmed, and he could very well be voicing a new character. The snarky is thick with this one.  Who cares if this one stays quiet like the others.  Discuss VAs fellow Fen fans, discuss on!  I still think it's Ron Perlman.  Come on, he's a classic!  Not a real accent, but a very distinctive voice.

Just a couple of quick notes after Im done catching up:

(1) for those of you asking for "any news", you can click on the blue bioware thing under the thread and it'll show you just the bioware posts (so you won't miss any dev posts)

(iii) Dawn, we're aware that you're excited about Fenris and the game, I think what some of the people were suggesting is that you may want to think about toning down the crazy a little bit...

From what I gather, it depends on two things:  First, if Alistair is alive or not (killed by Archdemon or by Anora and he's not coming back) and second if you made him king or not (no cameo if king, drunk Alistair if he made it out alive)

I'm hoping for the king and the drunk cameo

But I hope they don't go overboard with known characters just coming by Kirkwall.
BG2 was a little silly in that regard, suddenly everyone from BG and their mother decided to go to Ahkatla and you couldn't round a corner without running into a char from BG.

He is (can be) the king of Ferelden, not Free Marchers, he has no authority whatsoever in Kirkwall - if there is a Darkspawn invasion, it's more likely the Viscount will make the speech, or even the Knight-Commander Meredith.

Heh, no. The common tongue actually comes from the dwarves. They introduced trade and currency to humanity.

I really find this amusing. Dwarves speak American and humans speak Brittish. So in the world of DA, American is the original and Brittish is an accent of American.

Only Dalish elves have Welsh accents. City elves have the same accent as the humans of that particular area. Antivans have Spanish accents, despite Antiva being based mostly on Italy, yes. The qunari will most likely have American accents again.

Since he is Tevinter who are based on Byzantine Empire it is also possible that he has greek accent as well.

Peter Stormare played Uli Kunkel/German Nihilist #1.
He's also Swedish. A Swedish accent would fit Fenris perfectly, IMO, since Fenris is the Swedish (and Norwegian/Danish) name of Fenrir, the monstrous wolf-child of Loki in Norse mythology.
AND he's done VA work for an RPG (Isair, one of the final bosses of Ice Wind Dale 2).

He's pretty good at Slavic accents as well.
