I go back every now and then and drag Sten everywhere with me.  Having him question my every move grumpily while we are so high on the like-meter is just so amusing. Like bringing around your very own kick-ass grumpy grandpa to your battles, who just so happens to have a killer body and large sword.   

I drag him along at times, too, but don't think about him being a grandpa type.    I do like the grumpy companions- Morrigan, Sten, Shale.  Good times.

From what Dave said in the other thread, Friendship is like having a kindred spirit who agrees with your viewpoint while, a Rivalry path relationship is you and the character mutually admitting to disagreeing on a subject.

That's IF Fenris is determined to kill the guy. He may just be trying to stay away from the Magister and wants to live his life in peace.

Has anyone here ever wondered who the non-companion romances are? And if your companions can interact with them?
Or if your companions can just have casual conversations with other people?

I could see Fenris chatting with a small group of friends or acquaintances after he becomes more comfortable around others.

If he is not a loner by personality, he still is an elf, and probably a creepy one to others.

Then again I/this thread could be blowing the ordeal way out of proportion. Which is just as likely as not. "Burned into his flesh" seems rather dire, though. I do think we're overinflating the psychological consequences a bit, awesome though it would be to explore. Could be as simple as kill magister > Fen can chill > awesome.

I still hope you can hand him back over to the Magister. It'd be so horrible. I'd never play it but I'd watch it on youtube and cry.

+1. Will approve of soft-spoken, "zen" Fenris if it's only because his vocal chords were so rocked that he doesn't have the ability to shout. Bonus points if there's a little flashback. Do not even care how screwed up this makes me.

I think why he doesn't name his weapon like varric.. because his sword isn't a custom weapon, like Alistair doesn't have one, you can just change it with whatever the sword is the strongest. In the first picture, that's a Chasind two-handed blade, I recognize it because I went through hell getting it in the wilds in origins with some crazy quest trail.. And the the second one, no markings, but there is that small bump thing, an black/purple outline on the sword and no funny marking or shape.
