Why do people assume that Fenris is unable to go into a romance? He may be emotionally scarred, but I don't think he would need ten years to finally realize he is in love with someone. Or that would be dumb, just my opinion (don't intend to offend anyone here, we don't know enough about the character anyway).
Fenris had the will to free himself from slavery, and to me, he looks anything but fragile.

I agree. When it comes to psycological damage someone can have all the support in the world but a big part of it is will. if you dont want to get better then you wont.

Fenris just dosen't seem the type to give up.

@Tashash, Thanks. I really wondered if I was the only one seeing him as strong willed when reading through the posts around here.

Odd how a lot of people seem so opposed to Fenris being available without fully knowing his character yet. Maybe I'll change my mind about wanting him to be if he is as some people say, but as of this moment I still see no reason whatsoever to assume that he is such a wreck that he MUST NOT LOVE HAWKE FOR HE CANNOT STOP PUNCHING PEOPLE OMG. I remain perplexed by this concept.

Hehe, thank you Wynne. You know, when I read your post it made me think that after we finally meet Fenris and see what he's like, we're going to look back at some of things we've written in this thread and do a collective facepalm. :D

Heh, I look at all that as learning! speculating speculating.... it all we did. I think that we're too look back and be interested on how we tried to manage a character we didn't know but making up his personality!

Soo.... some speculating question time!

How you think Fenris will react/treat children, of any age and race?

It's simple:  It's called having a discussion.  Until we know more, that's all any of us can do.  The idea that he might not be so well-adjusted given his background, and that may have significant consequences is an interesting discussion.

Just skip reading a copy of PC PowerPlay, Australia edition and am itching to play DAII nao.

I think I should stay away from those magazine until the game is release.

Perhaps he shall steal cookies from fat, slovenly children. Maybe we'll even see a cut-scene about it!:wizard:

I hope I can give him back to his master or whatever. I don't want to garner a reputation for letting escaped slaves linger around me.

Quick question! Do we know how Fenris got away from the Magister? Or was that topic already discussed?

Oh and off topic, I feel both happy and sad that its practically March and we have so little information on the characters (and especially Fenris). I went into Origins without knowing a single thing about its characters and events and I really liked that.

Nope, we don't actually know - all we have is that he used the abilities given to him by the lyrium branding.

It probably has been discussed..........It'll be in there, somewhere....

He escaped the Magister using the abilities he obtained from the lyrium branding. That's what I got from the official character description at least.

Ok, fenris at a dancing festival! What dance does he do? Does he dance clumsily or awkwardly or he won't dance at all?

Actually we did. Very very briefly. And some of us compare it to Valen, who's master's castle was attack and gave him chance to run away. Perhaps Fenris' master was attack by a gang of Qunari, or Darkspawn.

I get the feeling he wouldn't want to dance, but if he did he would be good at it - he strikes me as being incredibly coordinated..........*stares off into middle distance*

On the subject of dancing:
Fenris can dance if he wants to

On the subject of Fenris as an LI:
To quote an old adage, "hope for the best but prepare for the worst".
