Elves weren't immortal because they shot up on lyrium. & what is FFN? (FanFictionNetwork?)
Do you have anything disproving this theory? Because I would love to hear it and create a dialogue.
You cannot disprove a theory. Especially with limited information.

I think he's okay with, I think that just means he doesn't read it. Also, throw that theory at us, I'd love to hear it.

Don't feel bad. Keep writing them. It was his way of saying he doesn't read them, not that he disapproves of them.

Yep. That's why it is called a theory, so my ideas are just as legimate as yours. And while I don't mind having it shot down, I'd much prefer DA codex & story information backing it up, just as I've used that information to back up my ideas.

I mentioned this in the old thread but no many people support this idea. So I am not sure.
It's about the experiment done in the Amgarrak. My theory was what if Trevinter picked up what they left and perfect it to a degree they can use a mortal flesh as Golem? Would Fenris be one of the first Golem they successfully came up with?
Shale had the same problem, not remembered much about her past prior to become a Golem. Perhaps Fenris was the same?

So why attack my counter thought that Elves experienced a quickening in their blood because of attachment to humans long before there loss of heritage & knowledge? (Which is in the Codex)

Well, it comes across as rude and harsh when you call it pandering and think it is your responsibility to correct people who are just enthusiastic and excited. It makes being a fan less fun when you tell us how to be 'correct' fans.
Anyways, its cool. Just be more thoughtful next time.

@Lucy, that's why Anne Rice banned anyone doing any fanfic about her works.

This is a pretty solid theory. It definitely makes sense, Fenris being a weapon that the Tevinters created. Makes me wonder what such a process would entail.

As for the immortality of elves, there are even rumours that the elves were never immortal. It's hard to say if anything could have made them immortal or not because there isn't much recorded history from that time in Thedas. We can assume that all the elves who lived in Arlathan were immortal. Perhaps they were always immortal? I would think lyirum could have some effect on this though, maybe the lyrium triggered their quickening? Or corrupted the elves somehow?

Youknow everyone got upset with her for that, but tbh I think it's fair.
I also remember when JK Rowling found out about fanfic and her response was negative and everyone was upset and iunno to me, I would be the same. I think people had to expect that...

I didn't attack it. The only thing you said was 'Elves aren't immortal because they shot up on lyrium'. That doesn't tell me much, except you disagree with my ideas.
The Codex also goes onto say that the Dalish still don't know exactly how elves were immortal save for their inclination towards magic. Having their blood quickened could come from a variety of different reasons, considering this is all lore -- nothing is actually historically accurate, the records were long burned by the Tevinter & Chantry (Or kept under lock and key)
Also, fascinating, this entry --
However, the elves' attempted retreat into isolation only facilitated
the expansion of the Tevinter Imperium and it continued to gain
territory, enslaving any captured elves as it did so. The first
“dreamers” learned the use of lyrium to enter the Fade from elven captives, and these dreamers later became the first of the Imperium’s ruling magisters[7].
Suggesting, Humans learned the power of Lyrium from Elves.
Again, the theory that Fenris isn't simply a weapon experiment. Its the Tevinter's attempt to reclaim Elvish immortality.

Plus on the whole, there is more bad fanfiction out there than good fanfiction. Especially in terms of Harry Potter and The Vampire Chronicles >.> Some of it is truly atrocious.
