I sort of think that Merrill is going to be like a little sister to Fenris, she'll tease him about things, like Hawke for instance:
Merrill: So have you kissed her yet?
Fenris: What?
Merrill: You heard me, silly. (notices Fenris has a blank expression on his face) Oh don't give me the Ser Emotionless look, I was a Keeper, I notice things, like the male gaze being directed at her. Plus judging from the fact that you're not looking me in the eye my guess that you two are as snug as a nug in a rug is correct.
Fenris: For someone who's supposed to be all sweet and innocent you are quite astute when it comes to the personal affairs of others.
Merrill: Do you honestly think that Bethany and I spend all of our time talking about spells and shoes now do you? (notices Fenris' expression) Oh so you do? (giggles) You know Fenris, under that tough hard man exterior you can be just as awkward and oblivious as Tamlen was.
Fenris: Tamlen?
Merrill: Sorry, I keep forgetting that you never met all of my clan, he was...an old friend of mine. But enough about me what about you? Have you kissed her yet?
Fenris: That is none of your concern.
Merrill: (menacing) Don't worry I'll find out, I always find out. (sees the look on Fenris' face) I'm kidding Fenris, we need to have someone teach you the finer points of humor, because right now you're completely useless.
Fenris: (muttering) Why am I forever doomed to be tormented by mages?
Merrill: I heard that.
I love this portrayal of Fenris and Merrill's relationship (as a brother/sister type). Love your dialogues as always<3

Nicely done there.
Now I started to wonder if Merrill will mentioned about the Dalish origin warden and Tamlen, should I import my Dalish Origin file....

Awww... Sibling/sibling-like relationships are so cute.
---
Huh. I have a random wonder--- Would Fenris be the type (if he's LI) to marry Hawke? Or be content as her lover?

I dunno if he would be down with commitment.
It's a slavery of it's own.

I would be interested in an "Art of Dragon Age" book that included art from both DA:O and DA2 so that we can see and compare the changes in the art style and allow artists/creative directors/writers etc actually get words down on paper describing why they decided to initially make X this way, but shifted things that way with the overall art shift...
Im a grad student, so I don't have money...but I'd be willing to mug a couple of people to get money to buy something like that

If Fenris wants to be together with someone to the point where he's willing to give someone a little bit of the freedom that he has worked so hard to keep so that he can remain with that person, the whole symbolism and formality of marriage is simply a moot point. He and his companion are together and they don't plan on going anywhere in the foreseeable future and that's that.

Oh? I would think that freedom may be a little foreign and uncomfortable for him. After all, he's (presumably) been a slave for most of his life. Not that he wouldn't value it, but lack of freedoom would be rather familiar.I'm in the school of thought that to Fenris, the most important thing that he has is his freedom. Its the one thing that he values most, and to have the trust needed to share it with someone would require a huge leap of faith.
If Fenris wants to be together with someone to the point where he's willing to give someone a little bit of the freedom that he has worked so hard to keep so that he can remain with that person, the whole symbolism and formality of marriage is simply a moot point. I thought it was really sad how your betrothed came to rescue you and died... If you were the female city elf. And your elf was like, Eh, whatever. Sheesh.
Thanks for the answer, sorry for going slightly off topic.

On topic-ness: Would love to see the concept art that made David go 'you are ruining my life!'.

Soris was the cousin of the elf that was getting married, right? Oh yeah. I remember, now.

@Collider
Too be honest i dont think he would be too pleased because he seems (too me atm) like the kinda guy that is always "dont make a big fuss about me" so being singled out from others as an elf seems like it would bother him... or so says my mental image of him

As far as all the art and memes go, the lot of you are extremely talented! I don't think I've ever giggled so much in my life from all the cute stuff I've seen and read. Some even got loud sniggers (snicker/giggle cross) outta me, which 'bout spooked my cat into the neighbouring county. He was on my bed out cold, didn't expect to hear a snigger, I'm sure, but when he did... BOING, jumped near six feet in the air. Funniest damned thing I've seen in years. He recovered quickly, though, and within ten seconds fell back asleep. Why can't it ever be that easy for a human? Not fair, I tell you. So, anyway, all you talented folk out there keep doin' what you're doin'! Your artistic abilities, drawn and written, never fail to make me laugh or to put a smile on my face. Y' all keep up the great work!
I remember saying I was going to answer a few Fen-fan related questions as well, but with this headache kicking in, can only remember a few brought up around the place. So, here goes...
Fen not wearing shoes - not bothered as I'm the same way, goes for socks, too. Unless I need to be gardening or shopping, shoes 'n socks stay locked in my closet at home. I simply have an aversion towards 'em, but some people do, so it shouldn't be a total surprise. Now, the only time I will wear socks (at least inside) is if the heater malfunctions in the house and it gets too cold. Most of the time I'll just wrap a blanket around me, feet included. So, yeah, Fen's shoeless state gets a thumbs-up from me, practicality be damned
Fen's height - again, not bothered. Maybe it's 'cos I'm short myself at 5'4" *shrug*
Fen's voice - still going with Roger Craig Smith (Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood) as Fen's VA. I can't think of any other accents off the top of my head, other than Italian, that would clearly give away the VA just by saying what kind it was
Fen's romanceable status - still going with a yes, same for Sebastian (yeah, I'm crazy for thinkin' a DLC character could ever be an LI, but I have my reasons and they've not failed me yet) and "Anders." Is Fen bi? I don't think so. Would I be bothered if he was? Nope. I'm pretty chill when it comes to sexuality, so as long as the romances are handled wonderfully, as I'm sure they are, it's all good in the end
Fen's favourite food/drink/etc. - not sure, but he seems like the kind of guy who would enjoy a nice, hot bowl of ramen noodles and a glass of ice cold milk (dammit, gone and made myself hungry)
That's about all I got. If you got through all my ramblin', you deserve cake, cookies, pie, and milk. Maker knows milk is an absolute necessity when eatin' sweet things.

In light of the lack of Fenris information coming our way I thought I would post this fanart of our favourite glowy elf.<3
My boyfriend drew this for me for my birthday today (much to his disdain). Anyway, enjoy!
I don't really get the shoe thing to be honest, I have no problems with it but I can see why some people are bothered by it (mostly the practical side, streets are not clean most of the time). But I like the fact that they are making the races different even just by little things like this.
I'm getting more and more excited for this game.. just a little more than a month.
And of course today DAO decided to stop working, thank god I have multiple backups.
