But all the deception, rewriting, political dabbling is what makes history so darn fascinating. Because when facts begin to shine between the cracks of deception, there is this wonderful 'AH HAH!' moment.
Oh, I agree that deception and political dabbling is quite interesting. I have no problems with that! Its just that certain things can't be used as historical evidence to support arguments.
And history is constantly being rewritten. There is actually a recent book out there that contends that there was no such thing as Feudalism, and that it was only invented in a later period that wrongly described the past. I can't remember the name of the book, the author, and can't find it either(no luck with Amazon Feudalism), but I know it exists, and i heard it was quite convincing! (I also havent read it

Oh I doubt we'll ever get a complete picture of anything. I think all the loose ends and uncertainy are an important part of the world building, it gives the feeling there is far more than you currently knowHolyJellyfish wrote...
I am VERY excited to see DA2 uncover what really happened. I imagine it will probably explain the origins of the darkspawn among other questions left by the prologue, Origins.
I think my main interest in DA2 is hopefully finding out what the main story actually is.

I am glad you finished it, it's exactly what I was looking for
I think Aveline would definitly refer to Varric as "pest"
Poor Fenris, theyre leaving him at the mercy of the fangirls.

You missed the fun, Lucy. They spend pages drooling and fangirling about Fenris, before moving onto more serious topic such as if Elves were immortal in the first place or not. That moved to different thread. Now here we are!

Do you think some of the fangirls will glomp Varric as well...? Or are these strictly Fenris fangirls?
The Varric fangirls are all sitting around a tavern looking classy waiting for him to return from an "errand" so they can fawn over him some more. So, he's got no worries.

Ahh, well. No hope of getting a little aggro off of Fen. Maybe if he tried to tickle Aveline....Pseudocognition wrote...

Whenever I say Fenris out loud, I sometimes end up saying "Francis"

Kind of just realized that the mechanical dogs in ME2 are called FENRIS Mechs. Wonder what's up with that?
Yeah, someone pointed that one out as soon as Fenny/MEG/Francis' name was announced.
Miscommunication between departments?
