Ok...for him to engage, he's going to have to unphase, which will kind of do away with the clothes anyway, so why not just (I don't know, Im a traditionalist) take the clothes off rather than risk killing the one you want to be with??

I'm wondering how the lyrium actually works. He must be able to will it? Or are the abilities brought on by adrenaline? It's hard to tell in the video because it could be either.

They must have poured it in his ears.

Same here. Gideon Emery's accent is a weird amalgamation of South Africa, English, and American Standard. Haven't heard anything major from him outside of Balthier, and I'd love to see him again with a different role and tone. I'd be happy with Carlos Ferro as well, and he's pretty darn famous for his RPG va roles as well. We shall see.
