Fenris: Then why doesn't he just tell her that?
Bethany: (sighs) Its complicated Fen.
Fenris: How so?
Bethany: Our first year wasn't a very good one. Things...happened on our way to Kirkwall things that I shouldn't be talking about without Aveline's permission. But what happened is mostly the reason why he doesn't want to bring up how he feels about her. He's afraid that he'll come across as being disrespectful, or inconsiderate, he doesn't want to hurt her.
Fenris: Aveline is a remarkably brave and steadfast warrior, I don't think that there's much that could hurt her.
Bethany: (shakes head) Fenris, you're cute but sometimes you can be so dense. Aveline's not just some sort of force of nature who can kill darkspawn with her bare hands. Under that armor she's a woman, who has emotions just like everyone else, and that's who my brother has fallen for. He just has to work up the courage to tell her that.
Fenris: Have you told him that?
Bethany: No he's my older brother, its fun to watch him squirm sometimes.
