Am I the only one calling him Fen for short?

Just secretly, in my mind until now.

I still keep misreading Fenris as something else.

Humph..I think this thread is long enough to run a summarize comment every five pages or so, like the old thread just in case whoever that hop on had no idea what we are talking about. Or the Eye of Sauron suddenly show us some Christmas mercy, decided to let us know more about him

You guys will need to correct me if I got it wrong, k?

Theory, regarding Fenris/ Fenny/ Meg/ Francis/Fen, how/where he came from:

1. Werewolf Theory:

He might be a god trapped in an elven form

Mostly based on RL myology. Also a codex entry in Dragon Age regarding the Dread Wolf named Fen'Harel.

2. Amgarrak Theory:

My old theory. That he might be the only and only Golem Trevinter magister had ever successfully managed after the Amgarrak disaster

3. Eluvian Mirror Theory:

Another theory we hugely discussed in the old thread. That our beloved elf is from beyond the mirror, only to be trapped here by the Trevinter Magister. Base on the WH DLC.

@tankgirly
There are more still.

4. Ancient Arlathan Elf Survivor
Whether or not he is related to Fen'Harel, the appeal of his memories gone missing & his physical ability to withstand lyrium injects may go hand in hand with the fact he is the Magister's best kept secret - An ancient arlathan.

Subsequently, he'd then have knowledge long since destroyed by the history books. Too bad he has amnesia.

5. A Chantry Whistleblower
He maybe carrying knowledge that could force Thedes into the brink of war, which could be related to his lyrium addled experiments or something darker. This relates to the story of Fenrir in norse mythology.

6. Lyrium Infused Experiment for Immortality
Going hand in hand with your Amgarrak theory, though in a different avenue. Tervinter is trying to break into Elven biology & secrets of ancient immortality, which may have something to do with the lyrium infused in Fenris' system

Old comment is old, and off topic reply is off topic, but . . .

Goldfish actually have decent memories. Especially for longterm. It's been found that they recognize sights and sounds, and are more receptive to their owner's voices than any other. I know the intent of the comment, but it's untrue. Just something I find fascinating.

what weapon Fernis' uses any more because Tankgirly quoted Gaider and proved he is a two-handed warrior.

Actually, all that proves is that he doesn't use a sword and shield. Personally, I believe he uses two-handers, but Gaider never specifically confirmed that.

Also, because I couldn't get the chocolate to not look stupid, have a version without.

True, we don't know *for sure* that he is a two-handed wielder but.. given how many rogues we have already I'd say it is a somewhat safe bet to think of Fenris as a warrior (remember we also have Nathaniel in DA 2, though we don't know if he is a companion or not but that would be yet another rogue in the mix).

And I'm digging that "Embrace the dwarf" banner.

Apparently Aveline doesn't appreciate others attempting to usurp her as the tank.

I hope some unimaginably "cool" secret godly soap-opera background will not turn up beside him being a living weapon and turn him into a Gary Stu.

I'm personally hoping he is a lot like Shale. I would so totally dig the mysterious crazy past mixed with a sort of grumbling sarcastic brood with a tiny heart of gold.
