I had no idea who Gideon Emery was but after a quick youtube search I must say wow! That guy has a amazing voice. I would not mind if he was the VA. Not at all..

At the very least you can hopefully hear femHawke in the demo on the 22nd. It looks like the demo is going to be the prologue. Too bad, I was hoping we would get to do a part with the  later companions we have seen in the fight demo clips so I could talk to Fen.

Haha, you'll be okay. You weren't the first one to suggest it! I'm fairly sure it's Gideon Emery, myself, all the pieces fit. I'm trying not to commit myself too hard because I don't want to be disappointed, but I'm about 80% there myself.

Yep. I'm pretty convinced its Emery too.
1) DG said he had the VA in mind as he was penning Fenris. Ever noticed how Fenris looks a LOT like Gideon Emery? Like... an elven dark skinned white haired weird version of him? Compare :




2) DG said he was worried the VA he wanted would be too busy, but there was time in his schedule.
IMDB reveals Gideon was in eleven ongoing projects at once last year, likely more unrevealed ones.

3) DG said the accent was unique and would probably have us jumping into conclusion land within seconds. Emery is American-SouthAfrican-English. Its so distinct its hard not to pick it apart, and he's well known for his range and breadth. If DG said 'He has... a south african accent.' We would have known who it was immediately.

4) DG has said in the past he admires Emery's work.

Is it him? Can't say for sure. May not be. I'm very very convinced however.

I'm not trying to commit myself either, but, gosh darn it, I've hit the 99% sure mark. If I'm wrong then I'm not sure if I'll laugh or cry.

Yes! You're right! Fenris really looks a lot like Emery. Especially around the nose and jaw...

I seem to recall David saying that if he gave any hints we'd instantly know who it was. That implies, in my mind, that the VA has done quite a bit of work. I can be wrong...

I think the implication was more that he HAD a history in games, but that wasn't his primary acting history. Which also fits Emery -- he's primarily a theatre actor.

That was my initial thought, but South African is an exotic enough accent that it would have been a giveaway to mention it. It fits.

So, now that all companions have been revealed... do you think they will give a little more information of each? I think it´s been a while since the writers posted new stuff... to be honest I could go with a companion trailer... that would be sweet... not likely, but sweet.

Also, Gideon did the voices for minor characters in DA:O and the ME series, but has never been a major character in any of the BioWare games. That could perhaps be what David meant?
