Atleast that's how it seemed to me. I selected the option that was like "your joking" or "your making fun of me" and he responded by saying something like "Noooo, would I do that ot you?" In a sarcastic sort of voice.

I'm actually quite excited to see what they've done with it.
My opinion may be moot, however. I adored Thane's scene, and lots of people I talk to in the DA fandom seemed to hate it. I loved its emotional impact.

I disliked Jacob because he seemed like he was pissed off all the time.
I've played the game a few more times and really appreciate Jacob these days. He's not my cup of tea for romance, but there are plenty of casual lady gamers that I know who were like 'Oh but dem aaaabbbzzzzzz'. He's my bro. We bump knuckles and spot one another at the gym.
Lulz.
I don't know he just screamed "STOP TALKING TO ME." to my dude Shep. Then asking him about his father made his hackles rise. And urgh. My Shep was done with that early.

Did everyone see Mike Laidlaw's comments on sex scenes? More sexy, less sex? How does everyone think this'll affect Fenris? If we can keep it clean, lol.
Probley just touching him without geting eviscerated.

I imagine ten years of desire is enough to sexually frustrate a rock, let alone no-touch-me-Fenris.

I took that to mean we'll get more sexual tension, and less actual sex. Which is a good thing in my book.RosaAquafire wrote...

Otherwise he tries to talk to you about that other romance.
That must be why I got it instead of a conversation about my romance, I left the romancing til really late in the game.

I prefer the sensual scenes over the outright sex/grinding/blahblah. I think I posted something like that in the thread someone had on that topic. I'm a much more emotional/thought/mental/spiritual person. Not really all that physical. Even when I write fanfiction that gets to that point in a relationship, I approach it from a more mental and/or emotional point.

Yeah I liked it too, it was really emotional, people always seem to complain about the love scene in ME2. I don't how good/terrible the others might be but Thanes is great.
I like the idea in DA2 of the sexy/emotional over grinding/graphic love scenes, those are just boring,

I thought I might romance Garrus, but he became too 'bromance' for me. Despite my Shep being female, I still call it a bromance. Because it really is a very close, fraternal thing there. And Thane just perfectly clicked with her. So. But Jacob... Jacob... I admire his frankness and honesty, but that romance... *shudders*
I am just really hoping Fen doesn't turn out to be... a bit... violent. I hate to do the comparing to Jack thing, but it is there. I like Jack a lot though, so that's not really a negative. Still, it would be hard to get along with him long enough to romance him. Rivalry-mance, I just dunno. I hate that I love you... not sure if it would fit the Hawke that's taking form in my mind. We shall see.

Well, I don't think he'll curse like Jack. Though, I'll be frank, that really did tickle me about her. She wasn't prim and proper, and she didn't care. Unlike Miranda. Or Tali who despite growing up a bit was still kind of 'little sister' like to my Shep. I don't think Fen will get loud or whatnot. I was thinking more the anger issues, and perhaps even a vague inability, or unwillingness, to control that rage and power.

And that still isn't wanted from me.
I don't want a bundle of rage and power. Been there done that.
And I'm not overly fond of people with anger issues either. Being unable to control your rage to me is weakness. No matter how much physical strength you have if you're mentally weak I don't want you as a partner .

Is it wrong that I don't care that Fenris eviscerates the funny looking dude?
And if it was an option for Hawke to falcon punch/phase through people who antagonize you, you know most players would wanna try it.

I'm not sure I'd want it in a LI either. Was talking more to yoshi, but I'm too lazy for the quote button tonight.
Ah.
As for Rene Shep I consider a full rene Shep to be a sociopath and wouldn't go within 3 miles of him. Nor would I romance him.
That said everyone has different tolerance levels. I just don't find rage filled guys who kill people on a whim to be attractive. Interesting sure but I don't want to be friends/lovers with them.

Considering that the protagonist in Dragon Age is in a position of power over the others in the party as well, do you guys think that hitting on the party members is a little weird sometimes? I felt like I was taking advantage of my position sometimes, especially when the companion gave it up really easily (yes, Zevran, I'm looking at you.) I mean, think about it. No one else is getting any. Just you, because you are in a unique position to win people's affections with booze and noble deeds. Maybe since Dragon age 2 is over an extended period of time the relationships will grow more organically and you won't have to be so forward with your companions (and they won't be so forward with you.)

I can't even play a Renegade/Dark Sider/Closed Fist/Whateverelsebiowarehasused. So if he did turn out rather vicious in some way, I'd have a hard time getting past it to romance him.

Well, I say give him a little leeway to get his anger worked out. After all, I can imagine being treated like that for so long would cause some rage. If he's still got the same anger issues like 7 years into the story I might agree with you. It's also a possibility that he doesn't really have too much of a sense of right and wrong, if he's been a slave for a long time. He's probably used to killing people without reason and needs to build a set of morals once he's with the PC.

Fenris: (walking into Hawke's room) Well, what do we have here?
Hawke: (confused) Fenris? Is something wrong?
Fenris: Sneaking into the Champion's chambers...Oh Magister's beard I sound like an idiot, why did I take that sodding dwarf's advice?
Hawke: Fen, I love you. You know that right?
Fenris: (sighs) I know, but this whole idea of having someone, being with someone like you is completely new to me. Perhaps seeking the advice of Varric was a bad idea.
Hawke: (wrapping arms around Fenris' neck) Well you did sound like a character out of one of my sister's books.
Fenris: I did?
Hawke: You did.
Fenris: Is that a bad thing?
Hawke: I'll leave that for you to decide. (kisses Fenris)
Fenris: (breaking kiss) I think that it would be best to refain from suggestive behavior.
Hawke: Oh, I hope not.
Fenris: Why?
Hawke: Because then I couldn't do this. (wraps legs around Fenris' waist)
Fenris: I think I like this suggestion. (placing arms around Hawke's neck)
Hawke: I figured you would, now come here.
(Fenris and Hawke kiss and fall onto the floor as the camera fades to black)

I loathe that. That's probably why I can't get in to the ME romances in general and bothered me somewhat in DAO. I don't like being my companions and potential LIs' 'boss'.Imani25 wrote...

I have a good feeling about DA2 knowing that the companions have separate lives away from Hawke, though. It should make for a nice change of pace regarding friendships and romances.
Except for maybe the situation with Hawke's siblings, it seems.
