That to me isn't really a jerk. Just anti-social and aloof. To me a Jerk isn't someone who wouldn't help someone, it's someone who won't help (either that or demands money) and insults the person. Because we all know everyone has lives that you can directly compare to! /snerk

In some ways Alistair was more intelligent then her.  Nice picture by the way wish I had talent with that stuff.

Someone who's overly-serious, intolerant social interaction, and blows people off like an annoying fly isn't pleasant to say the least. Add in a hot-headed characteristic and someone like that could very well be considered a dick by many people.

I don't know. That seems to be anti-social, not necessarily jerk.

From what I understand, a jerk is someone who goes out of their way to make other people miserable. Anti-social people just come across as stand offish, regardless of their other personal qualities. If they go out of their way to hurt or irritate others then a "jerk" quality can be tacked on.

Hm...if he's not hot headed I wouldn't mind the blowing people off (well the shoving his hand in people if not in self defense will be a line I'm not gonna cross.) I might recruit him but I little enjoyment to be a jerk to be a jerk (unless of course I'm chokeing people with my mind or I think a certain character had i coming.) So yeah. 

Though yeah that's more the stoic and "Ieave me alone." than being a jerk.He'd be called more anti-social than anything.

In some ways yeah but he was a bit naive and idealistic too just in a much more friendly and sociable way than Morrigan.

Really though I think if Fenris ends up a jerk and Varric's not an option my Hawke's will end up romancing Isabela.  To think a few months back I wouldn't have even considered her an option!

Then in reality, you and I would not get along. Minus the overly serious-- I'm overly immature and I creatively insult people at any chance. You leave the door open for me to do it, and you can damn well bet I'll take advantage of it.

Sexuality isn't a decision, it's something that has been THERE from the start. Sometimes it takes a bit of exploration and an open mind to find out what you do and don't like.
I'd just be happy if Fenris was an LI at all. -wishful-

When Chris referred to a character being a "dick", I'm going to guess that he meant Carver. Especially since it is implied that Carver is more of a rival sibling. I can see Carver going

I get the impression Carver maybe a handful to deal with, despite his cute first impression. From what I've heard of him in like... two clips, he immediately takes a very aggressive stance against Hawke's decisions.

Me either. I see them both about to kill each other-- although perhaps with that spirit inside of him, Anders is completely different.

Carver is the character I find most likely to be a dick of the whole party. But I don't know, if COULD be Fenris he's talking about. Personally, I don't mind of Fenris is standoffish and douchey, I just want him to be gooey and sad deep down.

Or who knows, from what I've seen so far it does looks like Anders' demeanor has changed a bit since he was in Awakening...

...Which is sad now that I think about it, Anders was my favourite character in AW, I liked him even more than Howe 

...Anyway back on topic, if Fenris turns out to be a jerk, then that's going to be a problem, I got a real hard time getting along with Morrigan and I was too scared to even try talking to Sten

Carver is the character I find most likely to be a dick of the whole party. But I don't know, if COULD be Fenris he's talking about. Personally, I don't mind of Fenris is standoffish and douchey, I just want him to be gooey and sad deep down.

Its classic sibling rivalry butting heads, and a wonderful introduction to how the Rivalry / Friendship system works. I imagine Bethany will be FULL Friendship, and Carver will be FULL rivalry in the very beginning of the game.

I just don't want him to be a terrible person (sadistic *****) like Morrigan.

yeah but in Awakening, he really appeared to be only into women and the thing that changed his character is being possessed by a spirit of Jusitce/Vengeance. Somehow i don't think that would influence his sexuality...
don't get me wrong, i wouldn't mind if Anders turns out to be the bi option. i just think Fenris is more likely.
