It could be that or someone on the art team likes feet. I agree with the elves though I hate shoes.

I think it depends on the perspective. Personally, I love jerks and I don't buy into the needing to "fix" someone because you love them. I mean, I liked the book end for Hannibal because Clarisse runs off with him despite it all. I thought it was beautiful but admittedly I'm a weirdo and like "evil" characters and have a hard time finishing optimistic "nice and good" playthroughs lol.

And also personally, as much as I love Alistair (his romance made me giggle like a little girl the first time I played it) and Wynne, I thought they were much douchier and hypocritical than Morrigan or Sten ever will be because at least those two don't try to hide their jerkiness behind "righteousness", whereas from my perspective Wynne judging your relationships and trying to force her opinions on you, as well as things like Alistair shouting at you about Isolde and her son when he didn't stop it when it happened and only truly complained about it due to his issues with Eamon or the fact that he spares Howe if the Warden wasn't alive (when, let's face it, Howe is about as guilty as Loghain, if not more, when it comes to the crappy things in the civil war.)

TL;DR I don't care if Fenris turns out to be a jerk/douche, justified or not, in fact it only makes me more excited for him regardless of if he's a love interest or not (though him being a LI will make me even more happy).

edit: Also as an example, I think that if he's going to be a "jerk" I can see him being like Shinjiro from Persona 3. Rough, Antisocial, Messed up but cares for people in  a quiet way.

I didn't see Morrigan as a terrible person... I mean she was such a softie underneath so it's hard for me to label her that way.
I really liked Morrigan over all. Yes, there were times when she was downright unreasonable for the sake of it, but the only thing that bothered me about that was that I often didn't have dialogue options to try and appeal to her logic (something I've said before).
I admit, however, that I wouldn't have liked Morrigan so much if she was just a jerk through and through and didn't have a soft side after you've gotten to know her.

Whatever kind of person he is, I just hope Fenris is a handful to deal with. I want lots of juicy conflict.

yeah but in Awakening, he really appeared to be only into women and the thing that changed his character is being possessed by a spirit of Jusitce/Vengeance. Somehow i don't think that would influence his sexuality...

I loved Morrigan a LOT -- and the Warden I'm playing through right now is BFFs with her so I'm feeling even more charitable to her than usual. Any conspiracy theories on why Fenris didn't appear in the team picker? Since it looks like Marian was just recruiting Isabela, I assume it means he just hasn't been recruited yet in that bunch.

I'm assuming he just didn't get Fenris yet ... but the crappy part is that he had literaly everyone else. Other than Bethany, of course. And Isabela. So it looks like Fenris is last :/

Funny how people perceive characters differently.  I totally could see Anders swinging both ways, and I would be surprised if he's not the male s/s LI.

Yes, I think, since Fenris is an optional companion like Isabela, then it could be up to you when you choose to recruit him. Because Mike said "we're gonna go recruit Isabela now", it implied to me that Fenris might be the same way. He's at a certain place that you can go and get him whenever like Izzie.

Cheers.  He's just saying he didn't want a pragmatic/ dark NPC along when he was doing paladin things.  Is anyone really surprised that there will be NPCs like that?  BW always mixes things up.

I tend to like those characters so not worried about that at all personally re Fenris.  I'm guessing it could well be him.  Anders was a goody two-shoes and Merrill has been called cute and shy and all that, I doubt she'd be RAWR (though that would be a fun twist).  Could also be Sebastian- ha, I could totally see that.

As far as recruiting, maybe you can choose that based on what quests you do first.
