Balthier was the best part of FF12 and I said a month ago that I would love Gideon Emery as Fenris so this development pleases me.



But it's looking more and more like Anders and Fen are going to be the two LIs. So, if Fen was the m/m option, would it change how you feel about him? (myself, I don't really care which one of them is the m/m romance)

Hm. Since I have zero interest in Anders as an LI and Varric is definitely not gonna be one, I'm kinda banking on m/m Fenris or else my male Hawke is gonna be making visits to the brothels a lot.

Nope, I'm going to romance him regardless of if he's the straight or bi romance. The only thing I might be wondering about is if he'll be the semi-important-tie-into-the-story LI like Alistair and Morrigan or the not-as-influencing-into-the-main-story ones like Zev and Leliana. Not that it'll change my feelings but I'm just wondering how much the romance will influence the story like Alistair's break up or going through the mirror with Morrigan.

As an optional character I doubt he'll be integral to the plot, but I am sure they'll tie him into the story better than they did Zevran and Leliana.

I don't think any of the characters will tie into the story like Alister or Morrigan, but the devs have said that all the companions have a personal stake in what's going on in Kirkwall. Cassandra apparently thinks they're important to her investigation regardless of whether they join with Hawke or not.

I'd like him just the same, if not a little more, as I seem to be terrible at playing straight characters.  All my boys turn out gay and all my ladies turn out lesbian.

I'm really happy with Isabela as a possible bi option. :3  As far as the dudes go, this is my preference list:

1. Sebastian (probably not going to happen)
2. Tie for Fenris and Anders
3. Varric

As long as the romances, whoever they're with, are well-written and have depth, that's what makes me happy. (Kaidan's romance annoyed me. As did Carth's. But Alistair? I loved Alistair.) So here's hoping that no matter who we go for, we have a romance that makes us feel all tingly inside.

I am very pleased by this development too...  And I don't care which is the m/m LI no...  In fact I have a sneaking feeling it is considering the Poobah's openess to such things and the fact he's writing him...  If our sparkle elf is the m/m interest as well it only means there's more oppertunities for players to enjoy him...  People who want to romance him on FemHawke can still do so...  It harms no one...
