This, so very much this. The game spans 10 years so hopefully the romances will take some time to develop since the characters have years to get to know each other. Agreed, in Origins some romances felt 'finished' to me after the personal quest and the 'big sex moment'. It would be nice to have romance-connected things happening in the last (2) year(s). A lot can happen in 10 years I don't want to rush through a romance in (less than) a year.

Very agreed. In Origins the relationship just...stopped. It was like 'Oh, we slept together. Kthnxbye.' I want some akcnowldgement from both my LI and the other characters. How was Oghren not talking about my 'recent expeditions' with Zev? And why didn't Zev bring it up other than that one time? I WANT THEM TO TALK TO ME DANGIT.

I agree. That is one thing Zev had over Alistair. Once you slept with Alistair all you had was the Landsmeet and the Dark Ritual. However with Zev half his romance exists after you sleep with him. It would be silly if you slept with romance X on year X and from that point on the romance was over.

That's a good point. It's been a long time since I've played the Zev romance all the way through so I forgot it carries on after the tent.

You know, I guess it would be nice to have more than the one sex scene. Not just because my mind is dirty and filled with random lusty thoughts ... but because that's actually more realistic and fulfilling. There could be a few moments throughout the relationship that are important moments (like the first declaration of love; a later moment when your relationship survives something momentous; a moment later still when you make a decision on the ultimate future of your relationship, for example), and they could be punctuated, or celebrated, with a little lovin'.

But yeah, I won't deny I like the sexy-times.

I'm still half expecting to see Fran looking on and shaking her head in the background. It would've been the ultimate laugh for me if they'd gotten Fran or Cid's VA in to do a character somehow tied to Fenris' story.

Edit: and why so critical today on people's posts, Russ?  I like serious material, but calling out the thread like this is in poor form.

I don't care too much about the scenes, since I'm sure my imagination is well up to the task of coming up with some good stuff on its own. XD



And I concur with idea of there being more to romances after they do the deed. Zevran's was nice, but as soon as you got on his good side after he confesses his feelings, it follows the same line as the other romances. I'd like to see a few spats between the lovers.

I want tension, I want nail-biting, I want longing and pining and gnawing. I actually hope that Anders gives Fenris a run for his money in the awesome department. Right now I'm thinking it's gonna be Fenris without question, but it will be interesting to have another apostate mage around. If the issues are strong enough, it could go either way, especially if Anders/Vengeance turns out even cooler in DA2 than he was/they were in Awakening.

I missed so much while I was asleep. I never play Final Fantasy so I've never really heard Gideon Emery. It's very different from what I expected but I could definitely get used to it

Have you seen the scene where they open up the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark??  Yeah, too many smiley's, hearts, and other crap kind of have the same effect...

Well, it was an obscure confirmation. Someone had said well done for picking Emery as the VA and David responded with a, "Thanks!" and smiley face.
