Yes, I am sick of "You remind me of my dead wife." "You remind me of my old girlfriend". "You remind me of my dead significant other." Enough of that, stop beating a dead horse. It is NOT romantic to be told that you remind someone of their former flame. Not cool.

I don't expect everyone to live under a rock and never been with everyone before they meet the PC. It's fine if they've loved before. What irkes me is that they always seem bring it up and not in a subtle "oh, I've been with other people before" way. It's always in your face and somehow you always reminds them of said former lover.

Right, and it's never a case of the man actually wanted it to end. It always seems like he would've wanted to stay with the girl forever because she was the most wonderful girl in the world. So I constantly have to live up to the expectations of this perfect girl. If you did this in real life, I'd expect the woman would pick up her things and leave that instant. No one wants to be second best.

You know it is weird that the main character always bonds with the LI over a former lover. Even Garrus (my favorite LI in all of Mass Effectdom) got together with Sheperd after he talks about 'relieving tension' with some other girl.

Maybe its a competitive thing. I think Sheperd likes being the best, even in relationships (or in this case sex).

Just speculation. And because it's pretty common in Male NPCs from Bioware.

oh i see. yes that would make sense, but what about if he was already  an aldult when the branding happened or what if he was free 'till he was an aldult i wonder   i hate it when lis have former wives and girlfriends i mean that does not make me like crath, or thane (both of witch i <3) any less its just sooooo annoying being compared to what they once had
