I dunno, I'd think being a slave would put a damper on any personal freedom Fenris might have had, especially in forming friendships/relationships.

Though I guess that depends on how long he's been a slave, and how they are treated in Tevinter.



I wonder why his master chose him to experiment on. Was it circumstantial, or was he specifically conditioned in order to accept the lyrium into his system more easily? This stuff's unnerving to think about.

I wasn't a huge Fenris fan... but now that I've heard his voice I fear that is changing. Very quickly.

I think I might be okay with it if whoever it was totally stabbed Fenris in the back and our quest was to go and exact revenge (like with Leliana and Marjolaine), but otherwise, yes, I would like to go back to the much less common cliches (in Bioware games at least) of love at first sight and happy endings. Or if not love at first sight, then love without all the baggage that comes with having been in love with someone else first.

btw, who was the one who mentioned a while back that the magister who enslaved Fenris was a girl and Fenris used to be with her? I wouldn't mind something like that (though it would be a bit morbid.)

edit: If anyone can pull of the derp face in the middle of serious romance, it's Fenris.

I think Fenris has the potential to be an up-against-the-wall romance if it's on the rivalry path. But maybe that's just wishful thinking... Do we know if the romances turn out differently depending on the relationship you have with the character?

EDIT: Also, it seems Fenris is talking to Hawke and his gang. Maybe we discover Fenris while on a Chantry board-like mission? Like: "Find my lyrium addled slave and you can haz 50 sovereigns. /Evil Magister".  Hence why it's optional.

I was under the impression that some romances can only be unlocked through the friendship / rivalry path.

i think its too early to say anything about the kind of romance... we can have with him if he is or not a romance... but i dont think he is a up against the wall type...

I remember someone said some romances were "better" on a certain path, but I can't recall ever reading that only one path will end in a romance. On the other hand my memory is weak and it was a long time I read those posts. Sooo... maybe I'm just telling you lies right now.
