Sorry, been gone all day at *horrible* family functions.

Yes! And then we get the "push you up against a wall" cutscene we're all secretly hoping for.
Or maybe not so secretly...
^^^^^^^^
HELL YES!
To above comment. I also agree with others here that if people keep pairing Beth with Fen, my Fem!Hawke is conviently not going to have a sister anymore, just a pile of ashes.

Fenris strikes me as a Jack-like character, he's been through hell and has so far made it out alive.
My
big worry is that while Jack in ME2 was a pretty deep character, there
was so much of her character development and backstory tied up in her
romance sidequest that if you played a female Shepard you missed out on a
great deal of her dialogue.
What I'd like is the chance for
Hawke to actually have platonic relationships with his party, something
that hopefully the friend/rival system will help with.
As for Fenris having issues with a Mage!Hawke I can see an exchange like this happening:
Fenris: (walking through The Gallows in Kirkwall) Look at this, the dammned Magisters tortured these people the same way they did me. Good riddance.
Hawke: The Magisters did this to you?
Fenris: Isn't it obvious? I would think you could recognise the handiwork of your own kind.
Hawke: I may be a mage but I am no monster.
Fenris:
Makes no difference to me, you have no idea what its like to be hunted
down like an animal, to be tortured, to be treated like some kind of
twisted experiment.
Hawke: I do know what it feels like,
back in Ferelden my family was hunted down by the Chantry, and should
they have found us they would have made my sister and I "tranquil" they
would have turned us into vegtables in order to hold up their
superstitious beliefs about mages. So do not presume to lecture me on
what I do and do not understand Fenris.
Fenris: My mistake then. Let us travel on in peace.

The
only question I have is how old is Fenris? According to DAO's codex the
Magisters (like the one Fenris was imprisioned by) disappeared from
Thedas many hundreds of years ago, this would mean that Fen could be a
very old elf, and supports the whole "immortal" idea.
I like this ideal dialogue. I imagine Hawke speaking a little faster the usual with the last reply, and either getting faster the angrier Hawke got or slower. Plus emphasis on Fenris' name. Fenris I see having a sort of sarcastic but cold voice in the last reply.
I also wonder how old Fen's going to actually be. He has no memory. We have no idea if possibly the lyrium they were pumping into him extended his life and / or is making him not age (I'm not using the phrase immortal. The elves of Arlanthan weren't immortal, their bodies just didn't age). The only thing that makes me believe he might be normal-aged is that in Tevinter itself (if I remeber the Codexes correctly), some of the mages are still referred to as Magisters. Not including, it would be sort of bittersweet to see Fenris as untouched by age. Bitter because if he's a LI for Hawke (and the player goes for it), Fen's going to keep on living (unless he finds a way to age, and that's if he wants to) and sort of watch Hawke slowly die. Sweet because he's the first of the elves in ages to return to the old way of basically living on for as long as their spirit can hold them up.
