I would love it if this was true. Especially if it was M!Hawke and Carver competing for Merrill. (I <3 the idea of Carver/Merrill).

Sibling competition for a romance would be interesting, but I thought it was said that there were no NPC romances in another thread (which I think I read from this thread)?. Wouldn't matter anyway. I'm playing as a female mage (maybe once as a rogue), so Bethany dies anyway. Unless Carver would be interested in Fenris/Anders.

Why would he kill both of them? 

I could imagine a sigh of annoyance at Carver's foolishness but if Fenris was ever M!Hawke's to begin with I doubt he'd kill him for a little posturing. Rolling of eyes sure.

I don't want to, but BioWare loves to pull unexpected stuff and after setting Fenris up like that, it would be very unexpected. Didn't they do something this with a character in ME? A very good looking person (don't remember who), who wasn't a LI for Sheppard.

Mebbe it's my way of preparing for it just in case.
