I wonder if Fenris was a gladiator type. Forced to constantly fight in an underground arena where failure meant death. Completely and utterly expendable. Or was he highly valued and only given the highest ranking trainers and well feed and clothed?

I think this paranoia over whether he's an LI or not is simply made snowball, because as soon as one person mentions it a whole bunch of others go "OMG. WHAT IF. *legasp*"

I was just looking through some old party banter lines and I hope banter in DA2 is as good as in DA:O. Origins always had me laughing!

I've been wondering lately what the magister intended to do with Fenris. He wanted to turn him into a living weapon, but to use on who? Dun dun dun! Maybe to use as an assassin (*waves at HK47*) to kill off whoever he wanted? Or maybe as a bodyguard...

Probably. I wonder if he ran away because of his first kill. I think that would make good angst potential. He was forced to kill an innocent man and decided that was the final straw and ran away. And during the course of the game maybe he meets with the man's family and tries to make amends?

I love this

I really love this too.  I'd like it if Fenris was this kind of LI.  Not the kind who picks roses and has lots of flowery words, but the gruffer kind who you still know loves you because he watches out for you... by warning you away from dangerous plants, for instance!

Ah, were you around during the brief gladiator phase of this thread? Good times, they were.

And yes, I too wonder if Fenris was some kind of gladiator. It seems to me he was either the magister's personal hitman, or he was the magister's prized living weapon he used in arenas in Tevinter to beat the other living weapons of all his magister friends. The arenas wouldn't necessary be underground ones, I would think... That seems like something that would be perfectly legal in Tevinter.
