I really like this idea of Fenris being quiet, reserved, introverted, or even somewhat anti-social. I could easily imagine what he's been through having that effect on someone.Lucy_Glitter wrote...
^ Yeah. I do see personality in that pose. I would like to say I think he's the type to sit back and watch Hawke and other companions... and the type to keep to himself with private matters... buuuuuut we don't know enough for me to confidently say that.
And then it makes the "push you up against the wall" scene that much more...compelling. Sort of like "he may not talk much but when he does he gets right to the point."

This.
As far as we know, the only measurable interaction Fenny had in the last couple years of his life was with the Tevinter Magister that controlled him, the people he was made to kill (or whatever his 'living weapon' status entailed), and whoever he met on the way to Kirkwall.
To me, that seems like he'll be somewhat reserved and pensive. The ****iness some people are seeing looks more like confidence to me, which isn't a bad thing. I mean, if his sole purpose in life was being used as a living weapon for Maker-knows-how-long, he'd be pretty confident in his combat abilities.
So yeah. My imagined personality for him is that he's sort of reserved, observant, a touch paranoid, tries to maintain a sense of (sardonic [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie]) humour about his past lest he get depressed about it, keeps his thoughts to himself, trusts his instincts, has strong opinions and a quiet intensity that rears its head now and then... which allows for pushing-you-against-the-wall scenarios, of course. We can't forget about those.
Edit - 'wut' at the censor.

I look forward to ruffling his feathers. That's for sure.
I REALLY hope that romance is still available, even if you are rivals. That kind of tension is hot.

Mhm.. *looks at Varric, looks back to Fenris, looks back at Varric, decides Fenris is more "push against the wall" worthy*
I hope there are many, erm, layers to Fenris for us to discover. Sort of like Sten but more..dark humour-ish.

Can I squee now?
Just my thoughts on the matter, but if he's over-confident as some people suggest, he'll just remind me of Zev. <_< Don't get me wrong, I like Zev. But recycling characters is not only lazy, it's cheating the gamers.
Besides, reserved and sardonic is sexy. Just look at Thane and Garrus.
So, can I squee? Pretty please?

I hope he's not over-confident either - a sort of quiet confidence and easiness/familiarity with combat is what I'm expecting. Sort of like Thane - he's an excellent marksman, and he knows he's a good assassin, and you know it too - but not because he brags about every mark he's taken down or every difficult shot he's made. It's because of the air of quiet confidence and the way he carries out each move in combat as though he was born to do it.
(I'd mention Garrus there too, but he cracks a joke now and then about being a good shot
And the squeeing rule has already been broken several times, I'm sure Luke can survive one more. :innocent:

Seems like Fenris might be more "If you're not going to help me I'm not going to help you. Good-bye."

I wonder if Fenris will lean more towards the Morrigan/Zevran side of "easy to bed, hard to get to love you" or the Alistair/Leliana side of "easy to fall in love, harder to bed". Or maybe something entirely different? Will it be difficult to convince him of either? Or will he commit himself to you in body and soul right off the bat?
Ooh! I'd hope he'd be difficult to love and bed!
Or maybe it's relatively easy to bed him, but then he regrets it after and won't do it again?

Though... At the same time he may not want help, or at least not right away. I could see Fenris' quests being ones potentially that you don't trigger. That the game will decide (perhaps after certain conversations, certain level, certain point in the plot) that the magister will appear.Pseudocognition wrote...
I like that his problems seem very 1) physically obvious and 2) immediate. Not to say it was a bad thing but could be a nice change from "Hey, glad to be on the team. I'll just chill out by the fire. No problems here. I'm ready for action! Oh... but there was that one thing."
Seems like Fenris should be more "If you're not going to help me I'm not going to help you. Good-bye."
His quote after all is, "They know what I am. Let them come, if they find the courage." So I think he will be less engaged about seeking out the magister/dealing with it. Thus leaving room for the magister to trigger the plot. That being said a quest dealing with recovering memories Fenris could trigger.

He'd be quite silly not to, eh?
As for Kasumi... *points to siggy*
Can't believe I waited as long as I did to get her DLC!
