Anyway, I still cannot reconcile Fenris' voice to his physical appearance. I hope it goes away. I really love Balthier's VA and adore the idea of a more masculine elf but...my brain is having trouble with it all. =(
Been replaying FF12 lately, and have found/remembered that during certain times(likes his quickenings), Balthiers' voice is not 'quite' so deep, and fits a bit better with Fenris. Not sure if Fen will have the deep voice throughout. Maybe only when he's angry or annoyed?

There are reasons I'm no longer in the NSAS. Some personal, others more related to the weird.
Hmm. I haven't looked in there in a long, long time. But the last time I did, it was full of weirdness and things that grossed me out.

I cannot decide if he is posed in that way out of annoyance with the spying ladies, or if he is deep in thought and unaware of his 'audience'. Either way, their faces are priceless.

Ooo, true. I did only hear that one line from Fenris and he did sound pretty pissed.
*ponders* Well, I hope then that we get some character trailers soon. I would love to hear what his normal speaking voice is like.

Yeah i felt like he was griniding his teeth when he said those things. I guess they've tried to catch him before and he is getting sick of it. But i am curious why he joins Hawke. He gives him/her quite of an unimpressed look.

"Your men are dead and your trap has failed. I suggest running back to your master while you can."
I'm listening the words in my mind over and over again, and drooling with anticipation. Not to talk about the way he walks *dies* ://////////D

Lol, I feel that Fenris isn't impressed very easily. Should make his romance even more interesting, having to win him over and all. Or maybe he is the one with the Rival-only romance. =O
I don't think so. In the picture with him and Hawke, it looked more tender friendship.

I think (strong emphisis on think) that the Devs said one romance would be rival-path only. Don't know if that was changed or what.

Apparently finding out that Fenris is romancable has brought me out of hiding. And here I thought I wouldn't bother celebrating Valentine's Day...

I'm actually really exicted about the fact that he doesn't seem so impressed. Given what we've seen so far, Fenris seems far more experienced than Hawke (maybe not, but I think that's not too far a leap of logic for Fenris the Living Weapon ). It'll be the first time ever where I can really role-play a character who's less competent than her companions. Instead of just trying to earn his friendship/rivalry, Lady!Hawke (or mine, at least) would actively try to prove herself to him, too.
Or maybe I'm weird. Always a possibility.

The internet can indeed be a scary place. I like to think it's akin to walking into a room full of drunk people - everyone's dirty laundry and hidden (and/or kinky) issues come out to play.
Anyway, I still cannot reconcile Fenris' voice to his physical appearance. I hope it goes away. I really love Balthier's VA and adore the idea of a more masculine elf but...my brain is having trouble with it all. =(
To be honest, while his voice is fabulous, I have a little bit of that too. It seems too weighty/slick (? not sure of the word) for him somehow, I don't know. I guess playing will help reconcile the two.
edit: fatigue-induced typo

Yes, and I lurve it! Mr. Darcy's first impressions of Elizabeth = Fenris' first impressions of Hawke, maybe? <3ankuu wrote...

He may not even join the group at that intro scene, though. Isabela didn't join the group right away in the gameplay vid. Fenris might mention something offhandedly about something he needs to deal with and Hawke could be all "Need some help?"
I think he'd be the type to say, "NO. I work alone. Go away" and he only ends up joining you if you run into him again later and help him out of a tight spot.
I'd love it if he's a rival-only romance!kcwME wrote...

Yeah, I got the same impression. He wouldn't make that face if it was a rival romance, wouldn't let his guard down like that. Meanwhile femhawke looks strangely apathetic. Maybe it's taking her all her strength to defy the gravitational forces that are trying to pull her and her huge rack down.

FemHawke's chest in that pic disturbs me. As a lady with very little endowments, I do not mind playing characters that actually have them. However, there comes a point where I go "Okay, yeah, too much."
It's too much yeah. And wth is with the blood on her nose? Me woman, going to drag you into cave now.
Edit: I mean, in the trailer Hawke smeared the blood on his nose, so why are they walking around 24/7 with it?
