That came off seriously dickish to me. He's an armed and armored guy that just broke into her house, scaring her half to death, what is she going to think from a smile? Then he runs off with her food.

I wonder, no matter HOW Fenris actually winds up acting, what kind of person he'll really 'love'. Whether you can have a "rivalry-romance" with him or not, how would your character need to be in order to have him 'really' like him/her? Completely sweet? Snarky? Odd mixture of the two? Or more harsh?

Figures... the two announced male LIs both tickle a serious soft spot of mine: characters that desperately want to be free. I can't help it. Even the jerks. I always melt.

And those eyes aren't helping, Fen.

I found Fenris' short story to be awesome, looks like our buddy's got himself a Boba Fett-like bounty hunter on his tail. From the sound of it Fen decapitated the guy and he got better.

Fenris: (notices the Hunter walking down the street) Run.

Fenris: This one doesn't stay dead.

Hunter: Fenris! I would have thought you'd have fled by now. (noticing Hawke) And who is this beautiful creature? (Fenris clenches his fists and starts to glow slightly) Oh Fenris, you didn't. The poor deluded slave found himself a lady? How sweet.

Hawke: I'll give you sweet. (a blast of telekinetic force sends the Hunter flying backwards Hawke then proceeds to light the unconsious man ablaze.) Let's see that sodding bastard get up from that.

Fenris: (Mouth slightly agape) That was a little harsh.

Hawke: Well he was threatening you, and no one threatens the man I love.

Fenris: You scare me sometimes.

GOAL! You win for the night, Doc.  If I could give you a cookie, I would five you a bajillion.

In terms of Fen's level of confidence. I think it's moreso he's battle-overconfident. Especially when it comes to his hunters. He knows them and can likely tell how they will menuver, after being constantly hounded by them left and right. And by all means, he has every right to be confident in his abilities. Though he probably doesn't remember much of his slave life, he probably knows what's it like to be powerless to some extent. Now, he has power of his own; a power very unique and likely, not everyone he comes across can defend against. (Holy crap, I gasped when he phased through that hunters head and kinda-sorta squished his brains.) Hell yeah, I'd be a cocky bastard if that were me. To me, he comes across as though he thinks he's almost indestructable. It will be interesting to see him in situations where he lacks the knowledge of an enemy and see how he reacts. Though, from what we can tell in the short story, he looks to be up for any type of challenge... >:] Daring... me like.
