The devs are so unfair why do all the companions sound so interesting? A party of 4 people is not big enough! I need at least 2 more companion slots. x.x'

Both those facts are true, in fact I got somewhat scolded for saying DA 2 wouldn't make Fenris the bi LI because then they'd risk the danger of typecasting.

The thing is, neither strike me as going for both sexes, neither Anders nor Fenris. Fenris mebbe even less than Anders.

But it would be one hell of a guilty pleasure <3

I was thinking how Dagna compares a mage's power to having lyrium in their veins.  I guess the magister was trying to reproduce this idea in a non-mage, by burning "channels" for lyrium in skin?

I really hope we get a chance to kill that bastard.

If I remember correctly, when Zevran was first revealed as a LI (not as a bi LI) a lot of people said they didn't get the vibe from him either. And, of course, a lot of people said they did get that vibe from him. And really, if we're going to go with, "he shouldn't be because it's been done before" then Isabela shouldn't be the bi LI either.

BUT, I'm not saying Fenris is. If he is then he is and if he isn't then he isn't.

So true. I had my heart set on Anders being the mage in my party but Merril just sounds so amusing from the story they posted "Poor archway. It didn't do anything"

I also usually get attached to the characters that join me first so I hope I'll have the heart to put Bethany and Aveline out of my party once I meet Fenris and another mage. But Fenris being in my party is a sure thing and since I plan to play a sword and shield warrior I won't be using Aveline much in my first game.

Ah, okay. Sorry, I misunderstood you as well.

I think the writers must really enjoy writing the rivalry romances. It's new and refreshing, for them and for us.

Yeah.  I don't dig this "it's not gay if it's an elf!" mindset people are perpetuating.  Yes, the m/m option in DA:O was an elf, but the bigger difference will be personality.  Fenris appears thusfar to have a more dramatically different personality than the other potential m/m option (Anders was a charming rogue archetype in Awakening.  I understand he's changed, but surely some of that personality will remain).  We can't really pin down personality without some face time in game, however--and that includes orientation.

Unless Fenris turns out to be a real jerk, he'll be in my party 24/7 like Zevran.  I was thinking of playing a mage, so he'd come in handy as a warrior. Of course now that I've seen the rogue knives, I'm torn again. *dual-wielding pretty weapon junkie*.

Yeah, I've also never really understood the "oh another gay/bi elf".... I mean, from Zev's background, it looked as though his open-mindness came from his experience with the crows and/or he was just born that way,  not because he was an elf. Nothing from what I saw in the game makes me think that there's something in elven genetics that makes male elves gay/bi...Even if Fenris is indeed the bi LI, that'd bring the total of bi/gay/lesbian elves I've seen in DA to errr 4 counting a gay elf warden, the elven maid from the HN origin, Zev and Fenris so doesn't look like a stereotype.

Whenever someone says, "not ANOTHER bi elf, that is sooo old," I facepalm inside. How can it already be "typical" of BioWare to have an elf be bi/gay when it's only been done one frigging time?!

And, as you guys said already, Zevran and Fenris are like polar opposites. I see Fenris more as a Sten type of guy, only with a touch of arrogance.

I wonder why they won't tell us who the bi one is. I mean we know Isabela is so why not say who the guy is? The only things I can think of is 1) BioWare likes being mean 2)They think the answer will shock us and they want us to be shocked when we play or 3) All LI's are bi and they wanna surprise us with that.



I'm leaning more at the first two, but the 3rd would be awesome.

Just because of this secrecy I'm starting to believe they are all bi. If that is the case, BioWare wins the cookie troophy for containing the most awesome since the Big Bang. It's not that I would play it gay that much, but I'm all for love for all! And I could romance Fenris with maleHawke aswell. Yay!
