Oh, don't I know it.  I was actually discussing Isabela with my sister the other day.  She is not a fan of the character.  Reason?  Isabela "doesn't wear pants."

It kind of bothers me how people dismiss characters based off their looks.  Looks do not a good character make! D:

Heck, one of my favorite movies is V for Vendetta, and you never get to see V's face behind the mask.  Is his character worse because you can't oogle his man assets?

I tend to ignore the Fenris comments.  As I said, they're so far into the realm of ridiculousness that I just... can't take them seriously. xD

I hope the strategy guide/wikia gives translations, I don't like it if I can't understand what people say. xD
The game already has a language barrier, first time playing Origins:
Sten: 'You are not as callow as I thought'
Me: 'What?' o.o *runs of to get dictionary*
I was also really happy I could ask Sten what it was.

I am not happy with English being my second language. x.x'

Do you think we'll ever get some kind of(at least small) translation to what exactly he says in Tevinter? Or will we just have to figure a loose meaning based off his tone?

I had to wiki what Wynne says when you deselect her. I wonder if Fenris has such a line. In Tevinter, he goes, "why you little..."

I would interpret that as meaning a romance is possible on the friend and rival path.

*sighs in relief* I finally caught up with you guys. I have a busy weekend, and I come back to find that the thread has exploded by something like fifty pages!

I'm really glad Fenris has been revealed as a LI. The moment I first saw him I thought "please, for all that is good, let him be a party member AND a romance option". Whether or not he's bi... meh, I'm not bothered. I loved the devs' short story for him, I loved them all to be honest.

Him checking out the woman was pretty funny. It's nice to know that he's got a cheeky side to him, I'm glad the magister didn't turn him into a total clean slate. I'm looking forward to seeing that side of him.

And that picture of him and Hawke?

 I love his expression. Considering how he looks at you in the scene below, to get so close to him that he'll show that vulnerable/tender/insecure expression is going to be so rewarding. Heck! Just looking at the picture makes me want to squee.


So, now all I have to do is wait for March 11th. I also have to knuckle down to get a playthrough ready in time for DA2, since I've now moved over to Xbox. (Damn sight cheeper than getting a new computer). But that means I've lost my chance at a signature edition. Oh well... thank goodness (or the Maker) for Xbox LIVE and dlcs, yes?

I just saw that Hawke is level 8 in the gamespot video when Fenris is in the party, so you get him earlier than Zevran in any case!

Can't people just not like a character (or not have a good impression) without being mental?  I didn't care for her in Origins, don't see much appeal in her now.  I don't find her gorgeous or terribly interesting, and yes the fact that she'll sleep with a bunch of strangers at the drop of a hat didn't add to her appeal.  I don't go around flaming fan threads or anything, it's just the way it is.  I'll definitely recruit her and talk to her- can't say yet if I'll have her in my party.  I find the outfit gross.

So if someone has a negative impression of Fenris and doesn't want to recruit him, no skin off mine.  More for the rest of us.

About the whos the bi guy questions. I'm happy with either of them being bi, I love them both and would be very happy to see either of them with my male Hawke. I'm a little sad that Merrill more then likely (unless all LI's are bi) will be straight since I wanna romance her as a girl, but oh well I'm going to as a male about as much as I play as a female. Isabela is hott to so she'll probably be the second or third person I romance as a chick.

I believe Mike said a while ago that leveling up goes pretty fast too, so now I am a very happy fengirl.

@Luka, I'm hoping we get to recruit them whenever we want, because I want Fenris in my party as soon as possible. I disliked how it worked in ME2 (where you could only recruit four team members before the first/second mission), because it got so repetitive to go through the same missions at that stage of the game. And I always missed not having Thane in my party... So I hope they didn't do it like that, though I'm guessing not everyone will be available from the beginning (Merrill I'm looking at you).
