For my team I'm thinking for my rouge FemHawke Fenris, Varric/Seb(havent decided), and Merrill. And for my mage fem Anders, Izzy and Aveline.

I'm not sure who I want to romance first between Anders and Fenris, but I don't want them in the same party because It'll be harder not to hit on the one I dont choose if their there all the time. I don't know if I'll play mage or rouge first, depends on who I pick for my first LI.

My mage will probably go for Anders, while my warrior/rogue for Fenris. I may try a female character for Isabela but nothing for Merril, except if you have an achievement to unlock.
Hey, that reminds me... do achievement stay in DA2? I hope so, I like them. :happy:

Hard to say who my party staples will be. I'm playing a blood mage/ destructo mage so she may be too redundant with Merrill, I dunno. It worked well to take Morrigan along and I do like a 2-mage party, so I'm hoping I can set Merrill up to be complementary. Fenris definitely. Probably Varric as the third.

Achievements have been confirmed.

As of my party I have no clue... I am really looking foward to all the companions - I really want Aveline and Fenris for my first playthrough but since they are both warriors I will have to see how it goes.

I always got mildly miffed that I had to get through 2 missions before I could get my grubby little paws on Zevran (and these days I always tend to do Redcliffe then the Urn, leaving the treaties for after). Okay, this is clearly because I choose to do Redcliffe every time first. And I guess because you don't complete that until you've cured Eamon that's why I end up doing those 2 missions before getting Zev. I didn't realise that. I coulda saved myself so much time >.<

Yes, we'll have to adapt for the party... If I play a tank warrior, I can't have Aveline in my team frequently coz only 1 tank is needed... whereas 2 two-handed weapon warriors can be possible (Hawke and Fenris). Same with the mages, if you play a damage (Merril) or a heal mage (Anders). Well, if you can re-spe them it would be nice, but unlikely I suppose. Not like in Awakening when you could change everything if you wanted to with the "special books".

I just needed to post because I was on the fence about Fenris, then I found out his VA (won't spoil it in case someone hasn't read)...

I squeeeeeeee'd.  Let's just say I'm a FF fan too, and therefore this news was beyond awesome for me.  Now, I REALLY can't wait for March.

I think it's ok to mention his VA. I think the Mass Effect thread could hear the incredible amount of squees that erupted from this thread when it was revealed.

Laidlaw posted not long ago that there would be a respec capability, but not sure if that applies to NPCs or only the PC.

I don't consider any one class a must-have, at least I didn't in Origins and I hope they still kept the flexibility in there.  I didn't use either a tank or healer.  But since I don't like playing warriors, Fenris being a warrior is nicely convenient.    If I run a 2-mage party plus Varric, poor guy is going to be the only melee fighter.
