I always do Redcliffe first and I always get Zevran right after saving the castle from Connor and right before I do the Urn part.
Wow, really? That's like ... wowI have no idea what the eff is going on with my games then.
Yeah that's what i always do too. Or in other playthroughs i just traveled from place to place, had some fights, did 1-2 side-missions and then got Zevran ^^
I can't see the megaupload video either.
EDIT: Oh i know the video...i think it's just an early concept of his clothes.

It's from the Dev Diary.

He's at 3:23.
I can't see it? It tell me the image in not avaliable. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/crying.png[/smilie]
It's a video you can download. You just have to wait for the counter to reach zero before you can download it
Very strange. My computer said the software dosn't support its programme.....
Still want to see it. Any chance you can upload it to YouTube?
What browser do you use? It's strange...

Yep if you sacrifice Isolde or kill Connor, that's the fastest way to get Zev apart from the ZevASAP mod.catabuca wrote...

Interesting question which we probably don't know enough to answer yet- what would Zevran think of Fenris and vice versa?

Yeah, I like being able to be in control of when I recruit people. I always got mildly miffed that I had to get through 2 missions before I could get my grubby little paws on Zevran (and these days I always tend to do Redcliffe then the Urn, leaving the treaties for after). It made the Urn mission in particular seem reeeaaaaaallllllly loooooooooooong.
*is no good with delayed gratification*
I won't comment on the ME2 'c:huh:ollect your squad' missions either, because I'll only get supremely grumpy that they are considered 'main missions' in the first freaking place.
*can hear Gabby's voice: "Cata, you're commenting on the ME2 'collect your squad' missions"*
I thought you got Zevran after one mission.
You do, just the one
Okay, this is clearly because I choose to do Redcliffe every time first. And I guess because you don't complete that until you've cured Eamon that's why I end up doing those 2 missions before getting Zev. I didn't realise that. I coulda saved myself so much time >.<

Yeah. It's one of the reasons I always do Redcliffe first (other than it making sense to me story wise) because to me it feels like the shortest one of them all.

But when we see Fenris spring into action he has that cocky, confident demeanor. He's a living weapon and his kicking ass and taking names, its what he does and he does it well.
Think this:
Hawke and the party are fighting off raiders on the docks of Kirkwall Harbor. Despite the chaos unfolding in front of him, Fenris feels at peace. The movements of the combatants to him are as graceful as any dance. The clatter of blade upon blade a symphony. There is a clarity in action and it is his way of knowing that he's still safe and alive, well, that and the fact that the adrenaline is a welcome companion. Yet for all the relief that combat provides, the skirmish is over all to soon, Fenris the weapon needs to place himself back into the awkward, uncomfortable sheath that is Fenris the normal elf.
Hawke: (notices Fenris has a slight smile on his face) Well you look quite cheerful Fen.
Fenris: (still coming down from adrenaline) What?
Hawke: (chuckles and kisses Fenris on the cheek) You know you're cute when you're out of it.
Fenris: I was not "out of it" I was just meditating on the battle's outcome.
Hawke: We won sweetheart, we're safe. Come on its been a long night and I'd like to go home and curl up with by boyfriend.
Fenris: That sounds good to me. (the pair start heading home)
Perhaps being Fenris the normal elf isn't so bad after all.

Cool thanks buggirl. ^^
Yes, we'll have to adapt for the party... If I play a tank warrior, I can't have Aveline in my team frequently coz only 1 tank is needed... whereas 2 two-handed weapon warriors can be possible (Hawke and Fenris). Same with the mages, if you play a damage (Merril) or a heal mage (Anders). Well, if you can re-spe them it would be nice, but unlikely I suppose. Not like in Awakening when you could change everything if you wanted to with the "special books".
I don't consider any one class a must-have, at least I didn't in Origins and I hope they still kept the flexibility in there. I didn't use either a tank or healer. But since I don't like playing warriors, Fenris being a warrior is nicely convenient. If I run a 2-mage party plus Varric, poor guy is going to be the only melee fighter.
I barely played Origins with a healer (except when I wanted Wyrnn for her story and different parts where it was interesting to have her with me. Plus, I liked her^^) . Since I kept Zevran with my most (if not all) time, Oghren was not the only melee fighter, but this time around Varric is like my Grey Warden: a Rogue shooter. That would mean including Isabela if you play a mage, or your brother so that Fenris won't "feel lonely".

Not sure what Fenris would think of Zevran, but Zev would deffinately find the glowy one attractive. He'd probably give similar responses to the Zevran/Wynne conversations(with Fenris responses being a bit different from Wynnes' I would think).Addai67 wrote...

But I'm kinda the same. I'm not sure who I'll choose yet. Heck, I'm not even 100% sure what gender or class I'm playing first. Ordinarily it would be mHawke rogue, but the amount of really interesting characters (and LIs) is making me question that. That said, I don't always tend to stick to one party the whole way through a game anyway. Maybe 75% of the time, but I like to try to mix it up a bit so it doesn't feel stagnant. However, if I did play dual-wielding rogue mHawke first, I like the idea of Anders, Fenris and Seb in my team (all the broodiest ones together lol), swapping out for Merrill, Aveline and Varric respectively as and when. I like having 2 rogues.
This time I really like the idea of playing a warrior too (never did in DAO), and if I did I'd play s&s so I could have Fen on my team, and then probably Isabela and Anders. Yes, two warriors may be a little much, but I luffs him.
I only played mage once in DAO, but am excited by it in DA2. I think my team would be, yep, you guessed it, Fenris, then probably Isabela and Seb/Varric.
Poor old Merrill doesn't get much of a look-in with any of those, but like I said I'll likely swap and change every now and again.
And, er, yeah, my brother/sister. They can look after the dog back at home.

It looks like the megaupload vid is just the part 2 of the "making of" videos(forgive me if I'm wrong). They're up all over the place(the main page of DA2, even).
It is that, but I thought it wasn't available for download anywhere, only viewing, so I posted this link.

Regardless of Hawke's gender or class, Fenris shall be in my party as soon as I can get my hands on him. Pah!
Edit: I like Carver too, I'd love to see how he interacts with Hawke as a brother.

Varric seems to be the first one to recrut (well it's kinda obvious, being the narrator), then Aveline and Isabela... I don't count Hawke's siblings of course. ^^
Aveline is first seeing how you pick her up in Lothering....
