The Official Fenris Discussion thread

I'm sure its going to be fun. I'm just not a very patient person when it comes to stories that I'm interested in. I will sit down and read a book all the way through before I go to do anything else. I read the last Harry Potter book in about five hours, because I didn't want be sitting somewhere and wondering what was going to happen next.
I have a general idea on where I want to take my Hawke, but nothing too specific just yet. I know the LI (Fenris for the first playthrough, Anders would be my second choice), and I'm thinking about having a mageHawke.
Schedule-wise, I think I'm going to play four to five hours on days that I have school. I don't have classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays, so I'll play a lot more then. And Spring Break is about two weeks after the game comes out, so I'll have a lot more time then.

plus I have a tendency to run around between the different areas/maps because I either: get lost/don't remember where I should go/don't know where I should go..
In most games I'm pretty much doomed if I don't have some kind of a map. <_<

You know, I'm really wondeirng what Hawke (or Fenris) is going to say in that situation. What do you say when you see that? Everything that you can say when you see someone for the first time (assuming that is the first time we meet him) makes no sense.dangereusegirl wrote...
For my first playthrough, I'll probably choose answers that sound somewhat like how I would respond in real life. Although, honestly, not all would fit because my initial reaction seeing Fenris would probably get me punched.
[Fenris punches through stupid guy's chest]
Me: Holy sh---I mean, Hi. How are you?
-insertFenremarkhere-
Me: [laughs nervously] So, um, do you control that? The light up thing, I mean. Or does it happen when you're particularly...excited?
[Fenris punches me]
Me: I take that as a no then? (given that he hadn't ripped out anything like stupid guy from before)
(In my mind) Hawke will probably first turn to Isabela and say (without sound) 'OhmyGodMaker!' and that in the 'he is yummy kinda way' and not the 'I'm freaked out about it way'. I need therapy! :'D
I think mine would be
Fenris: Try it and you die just like the rest.
Me: ........
Fenris: What?
Me: You're beauuuutifuuul....... *-*
Fenris: ..... Wtf

I had to take some vacation or lose my vacation days, so I planned it to include the release date. We're going away for a long weekend. I just didn't tell anybody in the office that I was going to come back and be a game hermit for a few days afterward.LittleLuey wrote...
I took leave off of work for this game. A week. My supervisor cracked up and called me a nerd when I told him my reason.
We haven't had any eye candy for a few pages.

Put it as linky because I am sick of what happened at Anders Thread yesterday and don't want to see it happened here.

Morning (even though it's evening where I live)
That's a really nice pic, I think it captures the feelings of our LI's based on their short stories pretty well..
What exactly happened at the Anders thread?

I earn leave days a month which I can collect and use for whatever reason I see fit. I know that once I start playing this game, especially when I'm romancing Fenris, I won't stop and then I won't go to work and in my occupation that is VERY VERY NOT COOL. So better to cover my little arse.

So judging by the new fact that you get 5 hours in game before you reach Sundermount/Merrill, and before that you get the chance to pick up Varric, Anders & Isabela Fenris is left as last one to get. Bit of a downer.
Saveing the best for last.

@dirtsa90, they made a big deal of what Anders did in the story. Cannibalism.
Last I checked, Cannibalism is kind of a big deal.

Hmm...
Considering "they" might as well have been "Upsettingshorts" I wonder what was so offensive about it.

It was really funny reading the last few pages of the Anders thread and picturing 'Shorts as Fat Lee.Pseudocognition wrote...

Just don't like that topic.
Blame Jennifer Hepler for writing a short story with the explicit purpose of introducing us to Anders in DA2 that featured acts of cannibalism, then?
I'm not sure how else to respond.

Haven't seen this for a while.
The fact that people won't talk about it was one of the reasons I brought it up in the first place. In any case, it's not a topic for this thread at all.

About Anders' story I wonder if he actually changed into one of Origins abominations, and then back to himself, or was "himself" whilse possessed...
Back on-topic:
Anyone who also thinks it's been a "long" time since we've seen the "hip wiggle" or the "walk swagger" (say that out loud five times in a row fast)

Seeing this scene was the turning point in my relationship with Fenris. It's not so much the phasing a hand through some guy's chest part as the fact that he just continues his conversation afterwards like it ain't no thang.chelxoxo wrote...
