It appears even people who aren't pervy elf fanciers like ourselves are warming up to Fenris, I think it's the awesome quote.

I do admit I had hoped we could save both siblings.

Aanyway back to Fenris, do you think the magister used blood magic in his/her lyrium experiments? If so what if you play a blood mage too? *DUNDUNDUUN...dramatic music*

I love mages, so definitely a lawful good female mage the 1st play-through. Followed by a chaotic neutral fighter.

Hey guys I don't know if this is already known but I just read that if you play as a mage-hawke botany will die and carver will survive (not sure if it was 100% confirmed).
So if Fen is a LI there is no way she can steal him from us mage-hawkettes. And there might be a change we'll be able to act out one of the "let's embarrass carver" scenarios you have written in earlier posts.^^

Yep, it's been comfirmed that if you play as a mage, Bethany dies. If you play as a non-mage, it's Carver that dies.

That's so sad. I wanted to be a rogue my first run-through but keep Carver. Of course Big-Breasted Bethany gets 2/3 chance of staying alive instead of Carver... Posted Image

It'll probably happen that having a mage in the family will be of extreme PLOT IMPORTANCE down the road...

Me too, anyhow, it would be very feasible considering the lyrium has to be running all through his blood. Possibly a very powerful blood mage, as in Boss Fight powerful.:o He would probably have a problem with blood mages, but not as much as some of the companions in DAO who were fundamentally against the very practice.

A mage PC and Fenris might be the rivalry romance.

For all we know he hates mages with a fiery burning passion and nothing we can do will change that. I doubt it, BioWare doesn't really suffer flat characters, but then again flat =/= badly written.

At any rate, blood magic seems a probable component to the experiments, doesn't it? I suppose if you want to bake a cake you have to break a few eggs.

I could imagine him being even more distrustful of a blood mage hawke than of a regular mage hawke. Since he might connect his torture with blood magic.

Wouldn't the rivalry romance exist if you were a rogue or warrior as well, due to the rivalry/friendship system?

YES! Alright!

Marian
Rosalyn Hawke will definately be a pyromanaical mage easily distracted by shiny objects that aren't immdiately trying to kill her.

Intriguing. I must try this route and see what happens when DA2 comes out.

Heh, me too. I loved the MEG thread (according to my mom and friends it's kind of sad that I've read every single post in both threads :P)

Nice character XD mine'll be a sarcastic, plays the tough act but is really a big softie, overprotective big sister and yet embarrasses her siblings and companions mage :D oh, Carver is going to be in hell  ...and Fenris will ultimately get the end of embarrassment too :innocent:

:D This plan is good.

My first character will seem bi-polar. One second she's sweet as sugar and the next second she's insane and angry as a wildfire. But that's because I like to save and constantly reload after conversations to see what the other options do. In legitamacy, she'll actually be considered diplomatic and sweet to the point she's fairly naive (or at least, I'll try to get it as close to that as I can for the first). If you do manage to upset her, she'll like to see you burn.

If I do a second, she'll probably be a rogue who's a complete smartass and thinks she's all tough and strong.

Bi-polar is very fun! if I do a second, I'll be a warrior with Templar abilities  err, if Templar is allowed to be use XD

Olive Hawke is a kindhearted but focused rogue who adores her family. She has some authority issues, disliking being told what to do by anyone but her mother (and even then). She enjoys company but doesn't like to be the light of the party and can, at times, be irreverent, or as her mother would say "a mouthy little chit".

I've preemptively decided she wasn't as close as with her father as her sister was, but was very close to her ill-fated little brother.

As for companions, because she's focused she understands that sometimes the high road isn't the practical road, but she does no condone senseless violence.

Fenris, sadly, doesn't stand a chance, whether he's a LI or not. He'll adore her in the end.

Same for both my planned probably. Rosalyn (the first, who is a pyro) is going to go down the more friendly route; the rogue is going to go down the antagonistic path, but she'll be loveable, which will make her a very confusing character.
