Ferengi are an alien race in Star Trek, often - especially in Deep Space Nine - featuring as comic relief. Essentially, their ears are very sensitive, and massaging them is well... let's skip the description and just say they like how it feels. The act of massaging Ferengi ears is *called* oomax.

I'm not done reading all the posts, but the rivalry thing made me thought about Shepard and Garrus arguing about killing Sidonis or not for his Vengeance Quest. If it works a similar way with Fenris, then I'm all for Rivality path coz, honestly, Vengeance gets you nowhere (that's my opinion at least, and my Shepard/Hawke agrees with me^^)

That's what I thought too. Or perhaps just after/during when the lyrium was burned into his veins.
