I think Fenris is the type that would dream up things he'd do to you long before he even entertained the idea of anything being done to him. For a whole host of reasons.

Also, he'd want to punch everyone posting those animated reaction GIFs in the throat.

The very thought is...delicious. For a whole lot of reasons. I really hope Fenris is a dreamer. :innocent:

The point is that he is probably not comfortable being done unto, because of his history. So he might not be receptive to being posed on fancy bedding and... whatever else this thread imagines. Not that he's fantasizing about Hawke.

General statement: The tittering over little innuendoes and imaginings is getting hard to read. And no comment escapes it. Just sayin'. Carry on.

Yes, I got it, but could not help myself. my obsession crush on Fen is already approaching epic levels and this is all without playing the game, or really knowing next to anything about him.

“This is a good death” She said gently “Better than you deserve, accept it.” She waited as the blood flowed, as he collapsed on his side, as his eyes filmed over, until every vestige of life left him. It was done.

She walked to Fenris and he reached for her. She gathered him into her arms as he sobbed. She pressed a kiss to his brow and held him.

“It’s over, you’re safe now.” She told him.

I don't think anyone is taking this thread seriously, only commenting on the fact that it has the tendency to attach itself to unfunny (or briefly funny) humor and run it into the ground to the point that casual observers get bored or annoyed and stop reading the thread. 

As an aside the innuendos regarding Fenris seem to be speculative at best and ignore his character at worse, but that's par for the course in any love interest thread.  Even ones for characters in games we've already met.

I assume you're talking about the chicken joke and the bad jokes I think I made today.
I wish we knew more about his personality. Then we can make better bad jokes and innuendos.

Huh, doesn't seem that way to me (Server is Faeblight, PvE-RP. If ya see a Kelari named Illyssia, Champion of Freemarch + a rock elemental named "Scath" or a air elemental named "Worthless" run by, make sure you wave hello). I also know several people who are playing Guardian just for the beta, and then when it goes live, they're switching to Defiant.

You can infer quite a bit from the short story.
Since the usual process writing a short story has to do with making every sentence meaningful, you can really read into it. As far as I can tell it's basically a snapshot of who he is when we meet him. How he changes and develops from then is the mystery.

Of course, and we were supposed to.  The stories for the romance interests were posted with the explicit intent of introducing the community to the characters they featured.  What that means is that if we want to get an idea what those characters are like, those short stories should absolutely be where we start.  They're worth so much more than even hundreds of pages of speculative consensus and yet are often glossed over, because they're written to show us what the characters are like not what their respective threads want them to be.

Which is why it's not unreasonable to conclude that Fenris is a bit of a dick. At first. Then you ask yourself "in what ways" and "why", add it up and extrapolate from there.

And also, not to say there's evidence for it in the short, but I still think wining, dining, silk sheeting, and similar sentimentality might be out of character.
