Sure am. I've already played the demo on xbox but since I will be playing DA2 on PC I want to try on my PC too. Ugh, 47 minutes to download. I might as well get dinner out of the way while I wait..

I have been looking at '6 more minutes' for the last 15 minutes.. doing great.

To me this sort of how Fenris chooses to live his life, what he can't run from he'll fight off even if its not the best solution. From what we see of him in the short story he gets that the running and fighting isn't a permanent fix but its what he knows how to do. He's pretty much a stranger in a strange land who doesn't fit in with the locals, and doesn't want to go back to where he came from.

That saying applies, I think.

Regardless I don't find his attitude that sympathetic. Given his history the logical reaction would be to behave the way he does but he dismisses perfectly valid options just because they are not the antithesis of "enslaved." Which, again, makes sense, but I'm not one to endorse or sympathize with making life harder for oneself.

He could fit in. Doing anything but strutting around in a tight shirt with a giant weapon, I doubt anyone would look twice.

It was interesting reading everyone's take on what Fenris' personality might be like. I hope he turns out to be as complex (and conflicted) as some of you think...and not entirely sympathetic. Pride and Prejudice in Kirkwall!

I've played the demo twice, and I'm afraid I have to say I was hoping for a tad more gameplay. But it's a demo. What did I really expect? Something that makes me glare at the calander an think "Why isn't it March yet?!"

As for Fenris, since he's had his memory wiped from the experiments, fighting is all he can probably remember and the fact is: he's damn good at fighting. I doubt he would have managed to escape if this wasn't the case. So, I can easily picture him being confident to the point of arrogance in that regard.

But, as someone else has said, we don't know what he's like when not in battle. With few memories, most about being a living weapon, he may not be so confident in social situations. True, he may cover that up by acting tough, maybe even callous, but I think that romance screenshot proves that there is a nicer, far more vulnerable side to Fenris.

We may have to bring it out with a crowbar, and if that's the case, I'm looking forward to challenge.

Also, that scene with him and the woman... do we know how he smiled at her? I only ask because, if the smile was lewd, then that's different than if it was in amusement, nervous habit or him just being cocky/cheeky. I'm not saying that any are an appropriate choice, he scared her all the same, but the meaning behind the smile can say millions in any given situation.

Hmm, that could be a good prompt for next week. meaning behind a smile, or just smile, that would be good too.

Two reasons, actually, three reasons:



1. I am not wealthy enough to get a Gold Membership just for one free demo (if they give me the real DAII i might consider).



2. My PC does not have the requirement to boost even ME1, let alone a DA II demo.



3. What's the point? Fenris/Anders/Merrill aren't going to be in it and we can't really interact with anyone (correct me if I am wrong).



Bitter, oh yea.



Consider it as a rant, and ignore it if you have to .

Oh, uh... there was a flyer out for like a year that said 2-1-2011 and as the day of apocalypse drew nigh, certain segments of the forum built up massive speculation about what would happen.  I guess a lot of people were expecting a demo on that day.  The day came and went with only an announcement about a beta trial of Legends (which was already in beta).  Stunned by the anticlimax, some forumites went on a rampage.  In short, it was just another day at BSN, only moreso than usual.

Also, Fenris!  I'm chained to a desk, someone tell me if Fenris shows his pretty face in the demo.

Not to mention 3rd party foreign sites putting up BS about a demo coming out that day for sure, and then Bioware refusing to deny them, because they wanted to be like the CIA with the whole "Won't confirm or deny" spheal.

Then a couple of devs  said that throwing tantrums and being melodramatic is definitly all we are, instead of being understanding about the issue.

It was just a dark day.

It's just a nice look at the battle system/graphics/conversation wheel.

I'm just sad that your not being added to the 1 million download goal that Chris set for us.

No, no, it's Emery. Don't worry. He's credited as Fenris on the list of voice actors that came out with the demo. That's how we found out about Greg Ellis not being Anders (with an added Gaider confirmation).

@Wrenisbanana Awesome! I'd say I want to see more Fenris clips but I'm thinking I'd rather just wait for the game. What I really wanna see now is a clip of Merrill with her EVE MYLES VOICE OMG YEAH .

Hi guys!

Yesterday I was silver, but thanks to a crazy friend of mine I'm now gold for three months (crazy as I said), and I've just played the demooo >/////

I just love it! I've played a rogue, and I'm freaking in love with her battle movements.
Graphics are better than origins too (as it was expected xD ), and the battle has improvement a lot.

I'm not gonna say anything more to avoid spoilers, but... whoa. Impressive.

I can't wait to play the full game and see Fenris, he'll gonna be incredible *__*

And the free gold trial with a new account has been apparently desactivated I tried it yesterday and didn't works. >_<


EDIT: OMG!! 5 hours!! Fenris crazy fans paying attention! *dies of emotion*

I can't wait to see this.  I have a Mac so I can't download the PC demo and my PS3 is 77 miles away at home because my parents know I'd never get anything done if I was allowed to take it to school.  I may have to wait until spring break to play the demo, and it's going to drive me crazy with all the inevitable forum buzz.

I was playing as a rogue too, and I'm soooo happy with the changes!  I just finished the demo like, literally 10 minutes ago on a male rogue play-through.  Going to try out a female mage next. :3

Also, I'm really liking how the 'aggressive' responses are more "STOP WHINING!" D< than "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU ALL!"  Really makes the art of role-playing easier when I can defent Bethany's aspostate status in an 'aggressive' way without threatening to maim people. xD

And I can't wait till the new footage. =3
