Oh dear. Someone thinks a female love interest is ugly. I've never heard this before. Not with Morrigan, Leliana, Ashley, Liana, or Miranda.

Sorry, but the only time BioWare has made a female love interest that didn't get ragged on for not meeting someone's personal standards of beauty is Tali, and that only because we can't see her ****ing face.

I might be wrong but the is an uniform standard of beauty, right? She looks more like a man. I could give you a course in physignomy but that is not the point. Do you think this model is attractive?
BTW BW tend to repeat the same thing - too narrow lips and too oval faces. In this case, chybby even. Makes me think its randomly generated...

I am guessing that he'll be the sort who doesn't really have any strong opinions on most of the companions.  In fact, I'm kind of hoping he's a little like Edward Scissorhands.  What would be even cooler is if his "master" is more like an overprotective parent than the stereotypical "I'm EEEEEEVILLLL" that we've seen out of Tevinter mages thus far--not particularly upset that his creation escaped, but a bit worried about what his (or her, could be a woman I guess) "child" may get up to out in the big bad world.

But, who knows.  There could be a lot of interesting and complex places to take it.  I also suspect he may turn out to be an angry rebel and despise Isabela because she's involved in the slave trade.  But maybe not.

It depends which part of the series they're talking about.  Granted, my only exposure to the series besides the first two movies with Rifftrax is "Mark Reads Twilight" so my overall perception of the series is naturally colored by his views.

Srsly though. This is when Zevran is different from Fenris. I don't think his approach toward the other companion would be the same as  the Antivan Elf.

I've heard guys say exactly this same thing about every concievable woman.  No joke.  They make no distinction between "she doesn't appeal to me personally" and "SHE LOOKS LIKE THE NORTH END OF A SOUTH-FACING DOG", like there's ONE correct way for a woman to look.  I was sick of it fifteen years ago.  

Does it honestly not occur to people that there might be considerations in character design other than making you go OMG SO PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!1!!

In one of the combat-speech demo reviews, the writer revealed that being a Rival sometimes is the only way to open up some Romantic & Combat options.



I do get excited over a Rival romance. I would dig it if that what Fenris is XD I'm not interested in helping him through his pain and sorrow (if he's even angsty). I'd rather get all up front and forward with that boy. Bring on the Darcy/Heathcliffe dangit!

Yep.  Personally I think the shots taken from her inventory screen are the most flattering, though that might simply be because they're dark.  But honestly, I don't tend to find video game characters terribly attractive - more accurately I don't strongly like or dislike any aesthetically - for reasons I can't explain.   Unless they're Scarlett Lake.

There is no real universal standard of beauty. What one group of people think is gorgeous, another will complain that the person is too skinny/muscular/tall/intimidating/meek etc.

So instead of complaining, just opt for an alternative or deel wit it.

For tough and dependable, I would've used someone like Olivia Wild or Angelina Jolie. Not for the lolsexah factor, but for their stronger facial features; Strong jaw, roman-esque nose, things like that. But I'm a Hollywood hermit, and those are the only two actresses I know of with said jawlines.
