Ah. Overcharging jerks.

No wonder Herren charges you so much. He's just trying to get married.

Naturally.  Maker knows we can't allow oursevles to be seen as rational creatures.  How could we ever manipulate the system properly if we were taken seriously?  *For the record, I don't think anyone was fishing for spoilers, we were having at least a partially serious discussion about the possibility , no one had to offer information...*

I personally don't think there was anything wrong with people overspeculating and getting excited over an untrue or true rumor. There is build up right now. People are excited about DA2. I've been working on client work, and I enjoy writing responses at my station on the BSN boards because I simply cannot wait for DA2. Anticipation is like early christmas. I see the package but I can't open it.

I'm surprised Gaider even bothered to come in here and say anything. If I were him, I would have just pleasantly giggled and watched people boil with confusion, only to have it evaporate once they got their hands on the game. For one suggesting we stop fishing for spoilers, he certainly enjoys spoiling.

But he's going to need all the paragon points he can get before release-date.  I'm sure we'll be in for some "nasty" surprises from the writing team, in due season.

Second all of this.  Let us boil over to the flash point of agony/anger/joy once in a while, it'd probably be good for us.

I think it's silly to take "my friend who works at a magazine told me that" as any sort of truth. Lucy was duped, so it's not her fault, but going into meltdown over these things is a waste of your energies.

The disparaging and bloodthirsty comments about an imagined wife character that would inevitably go on until march 8th might be a good reason to intervene.

If nothing else, it did spark a conversation that I thought was interesting to explore.  I'm not opposed to romance partners who aren't blank slates--on the contrary, I tend to prefer them--and the idea of a character like Fenris (with no memory) already having a wife raises some fascinating questions.

So long as he's written well,I honestly don't mind.I like characters with emotional storylines.

That's exactly the thing. I'm getting tired of Carth Syndrome. So damn tired.

It will be written well but it lost it's punch after Jade Empire. I'm just sick and tired of it.

And if he compares the female PC to his wife...urgh.

No.

God if he does I hope he's bi. Can't compare me to another woman when my PC is a man. <_<

you are not the only one. i get sick at just the thought of that darn carth syndrome.

Carth, Thane. Who am I leaving out? It feels like there should've been another and I'm forgetting it. Meh.

I don't mind the loving others. But this whole previous wife thing has gotten to be a bit of a crutch/cliche for the LIs. You very seldom see it on the female LIs, only on the males. It's getting a bit stale.

..and now that I read the rest of the thread, turns out its fake? Good, good. ignore me. *goes back to her wights*

Yeah, really. I'm scared for Fenris' hypothetical wife. Or any real/hypothetical spouse of any character since inevitably someone wants to kill them, see Wesley and how everyone was rejoicing being able to do so.

Seriously, run as fast as your non-existent legs can take you, Fenwife!!

You clearly haven't been bothered to read my other posts ( and I don't blame you).  But I think we both know the answer to that question.  I make no apologies for my degeneracy unless there's a good bit of coin involved, and of course for general forum morale. :P

Not that it needs any help.

To be fair, there's been a 'Carth Syndrome' LI in almost every BioWare game and it's an ever present fear for some. Sheer precedent gave more weight to the rumor than say, one that might say Fenris was originally female before the experiments.
