And i'll sooo play as a mage over and over again with lil Carver. There are so many funny things that could derive from this...Fenris breaking your lyrium bottles, you starting a fire to freak him out...*dreams on*

More seriously, I'd LOVE to see the dynamic between Fenris and a...less scrupulous mage.  I'm pretty sure he's not going to be terribly fond of mages--mages enslaved him and did this to him, after all.  And if I can get it, I'm going to play a reasonably genre savvy but ambitious and generally ruthless blood mage.

As for VAs, I think Fenris is a bit on the younger side than Hugo Weaving.  Some voices just sound old, you know?

Alistair wasn't really fond of mages either (Fenris might be a more severe) but he still had romances with them...

EDIT: speaking of which...why doesn't he mention anything about the warden being a mage? i want some jokes or some ironical stuff about that...you used to hate mages, now you simply ignore it?

I've been reading this WHOLE forum for what? about 15hrs straight now and all that I've learned is that he may or may not be a LI and that he is def. not a werewolf/Fen'Harel re-incarnate. 'Twas amusing though...
And now I ♥ Fenris (such a shame XD)

You should look at the old MEG thread. It was even more fun. Back then we only had a concept art piccie and our speculation was pretty wild :lol::lol:

But it hit so close within such a short amount of time. I remember posting that he was possibly a Tevinter Slave back at like page 30 something, and someone guessed off the bad it was lyrium injections.

I loved Gaider's reaction too. 'I leave for a day. Just a day. I don't even want to go back all these pages..'

Somehow, I think we are driving him insane... But he (hopefully) will submit to our fangirlness and divulge new info... Posted Image

Theories update:

tankgirly wrote...

We need to do a bit of update about our theory thing.

You guys will need to correct me if I got it wrong, k?

Theory, regarding Fenris/ Fenny/ Meg/ Francis/Fen, how/where he came from:

1. Werewolf Theory:

He might be a god trapped in an elven form

Mostly based on RL myology. Also a codex entry in Dragon Age regarding the Dread Wolf named Fen'Harel.

David had debuk this. Not happening.

2. Amgarrak Theory:

My old theory. That he might be the only and only Golem Trevinter magister had ever successfully managed after the Amgarrak disaster

3. Eluvian Mirror Theory:

Another theory we hugely discussed in the old thread. That our beloved elf is from beyond the mirror, only to be trapped here by the Trevinter Magister. Base on the WH DLC.

4. Ancient Arlathan Elf Survivor
Whether or not he is related to Fen'Harel, the appeal of his memories gone missing & his physical ability to withstand lyrium injects may go hand in hand with the fact he is the Magister's best kept secret - An ancient arlathan.

Subsequently, he'd then have knowledge long since destroyed by the history books. Too bad he has amnesia.

5. A Chantry Whistleblower
He maybe carrying knowledge that could force Thedes into the brink of war, which could be related to his lyrium addled experiments or something darker. This relates to the story of Fenrir in norse mythology.

6. Lyrium Infused Experiment for Immortality
Going hand in hand with your Amgarrak theory, though in a different avenue. Tervinter is trying to break into Elven biology & secrets of ancient immortality, which may have something to do with the lyrium infused in Fenris' system

Aye?

Well it's actually better than having only one person in the world swim (check Ezio). I think DA is good without it anyway...

I agree with all five theories in a super crazy knitball combo. Maybe NOT the Arlathan survivor, but I could see why Tevinter would a) create organic golem in order to B) find the link to Arlathan immortality, as well as how the Elves were able to walk among the 'old gods' (which maybe a reference to the Mirrors and the Dark City). This also snowballs into c) that the Tevinter originally tried to do this before on humans, accidentally creating the darkspawn and tainting the old gods, which would in turn be a secret that the Chantry wants to hush over

On big snowball of crazy. That or Fenris is an experiment to make the sexiest elf thing in all of Thedas. Succ-ess o/`
