What?! How is it you're not burnt toast?!?! I casted Firestorm and EVERYTHING!!

Well my mana pool is too drained from blood magic and fireball casting to fight for my Keeper right now,  sooo....

I think it would have been nice for his eyes to have somehow been affected by the lyrium as well, but from all the posts I've seen the Moss Green Effect has been working in acceptable standard. ^_^

I cast "rock armor" and dove under the table. Image IPB

Would be nice if we got a character that teased you in more ways than just talking. Like if Fenris was trying to get his way, and so REALLY made this face:

Hawke could either melt or "Oh, don't give me that again!"
Maybe that's why I liked Carth. He teased back.

Oh hellz no. I've already planned my Hawkette to have gorgeous pale blue-gray eyes (to go with her pale appearance)... and moss green looks good on Fenris.

by affected by lyrium I didn't just mean they turn blue, I meant that maybe the color flickers everynow and then.
Idk. I'm no writer.
Just thought it'd be nice if the lyrium effected his "window to the soul."

*flips the table* So what do you guys think the evil magister looks like? I'm pictureing emperor Palpatine.

Someone brought this up a while back and I thought it was intriguing. If we push Fenris away from seeking revenge on the magister yet support Anders in his vengeance against the Chantry, will we be called out for possible hypocrisy? It might be too much to ask for, but it would give the story just that much more depth.

That was me. I think it's a valid question, especially since at least three plots that I can think of are specifically about revenge. If their rivalry lines are all about discouraging them from seeking revenge, realistically handling them inconsistently should provoke a response. How difficult it is to program such a response and if it's worth it to the devs, I don't know. It'd be interesting if there were such a comment, but if not we can always imagine it's the elephant in the room adding to the rivalry tension. ;)

@Fenn: Vincent Price, and he has a twirly mustache.

Part of me is hoping he's young and goodlooking. I'm sick of BW bad guys looking ugly/old/freakish.

There's nothing wrong with your table! Image IPB
I thought someone else was under there. Didn't want to draw fire to them. Image IPB

I hope the magister is kind of aged but kind of attractive. Or completely disgusting.
I like classy villains. Image IPB

I've definitely been picturing a guy with the same outfit as Palpatine. I think he's going to be old too, but maybe not quite as old as Palpatine.

I also kind of hope that's the affably evil type.

Thank-you!

I'm thinking Darth Denerius will look like the Grand Poobah. Just for laughs.

I'm probably totally wrong though.

Seconded.  How can there be proper fodder for the inevitable squick-worthy FenrisxMagister angst fanfiction?

Personally, I'm thinking a slick Alan Rickman-type villain.

the difference in vengeance is clear to me. Fenris was actually WRONGED by the individual he wants to kill. whereas Anders is after an entire establishment of people who have never personally wronged him. many templars have no more say in becoming what they are than mages do. recall that Alistair was hauled off to a Chantry at what? 10? and then once youre in they dont want you out. Duncan was forced to Conscript.

Agreed! Although I did love the music from DA:O Image IPB Haha when I listened to this song in the demo today, I thought "I swear this is Florence + The Machine."  I was surprised to find that I was right. Image IPB

I heard about her being on the soundtrack today on X-Play and just about creamed myself in excitement. So much better than that 30 Seconds to Mars song they tacked on to the end of Origins.

Ooh the delicious drama!  I would love this to be the case. But somehow I doubt it.

Also, I was thinking about the wife mistranslation thing - what if it's really the Magister's wife that is hunting Fenris because she wants her elf boy toy lyrium battery pack   sexy slave back. ...

Edit: wth? That was so not the post I quoted....:pinched:

Edit 2: actually it was...GAH, I 'm going insane....
