If the conversation goes:
Magister: *looking at Hawke* You've been too distracted lately. I'm beginning to think you don't really want to kill me.

Magister: Watch the sass, Captain Sassypants. 

I swear to the Maker I will lose it.

My FemHawke's preferred response to that:  It's almost a shame to kill you now, Magister.

Fenris: You're just a two bit, slaving, horse's a**!!

Magister: Don't make me use my big boy voice.<_<

Magister: ERGO. VIS A VIS. CONCORDANTLY.
Hawke: I think we broke him. o.O

That was me. I think
it's a valid question, especially since at least three plots that I can
think of are specifically about revenge. If their rivalry lines are all
about discouraging them from seeking revenge, realistically handling
them inconsistently should provoke a response. How difficult it is to
program such a response and if it's worth it to the devs, I don't know.
It'd be interesting if there were such a comment, but if not we can
always imagine it's the elephant in the room adding to the rivalry

the difference in vengeance is clear to me. Fenris was actually WRONGED by the individual he wants to kill. whereas Anders is after an entire establishment of people who have never personally wronged him. many templars have no more say in becoming what they are than mages do. recall that Alistair was hauled off to a Chantry at what? 10? and then once youre in they dont want you out. Duncan was forced to Conscript.

I get what you're saying, but it's all still in the same vein: I was wronged and now I want the person(s) responsible to pay. Throw Sebastian into the mix and the whole situation can quickly become a minefield. I really hope this is explored in-game. 

It might be worth it to play a more peaceful Hawke at least once. Tries to turn everyone away from vengeance. Or, if they won't turn from it, tell them they're **** outta luck.

Not sure if this has been posted here, but there were some interesting bits about Fenris' character development process in this article.

One of the most straightforward examples of aligning art and game design Goldman could give me was the character Fenris, a former Tevinter slave with lyrium scars from years of torture. "That guy, he required a lot of going back and forth between design and art. I think we redesigned that guy ten times." Fenris' character design is a function of his backstory as well as his role in battle, both of which changed well into development, sending Goldman's team "back to the drawing board... trying to blend those elements into something that's interesting
and unique from everybody else in the world."

"I don't think you need to show a drill going through a baby's eyeball to tell a terrible story," he says to me. "It doesn't need to be black and dripping with blood -- that's pretty Halloween."

Actually, I'm pretty sure he thought Isolde and JOWAN were bumping uglies, not Teagan.   Though I could be wrong?  Do you have a quote?

I don't see it as evil when you reveal things like this.    I think it's cute!  I can wait patiently for the images because I know whether it's sexy, funny, or misleading, it's going to look good.
