Plot items? There won't be too much then, mmm... ah well, I'm curious to know what could be the gift for Fenris and Varric. The head of the magister as suggested and a box of polish wax for Bianca for Varric?Anything can be use for fanfiction.Elenaxrose wrote...
If Fenris got beaten up by slavers and was near death and there was some beautiful scene where he confesses his love for Hawke would be amazing..

I once played DAO as fast as I could, skipping most side quests and companion dialogue, and finished it in 21 hours. So this one review that said main story could be completed in 15 hours (probably on normal), it's nothing to be alarmed about. When you add side quests and taking your time to experience all the content + pausing combat, it'll probably be around 45 hours, longer than ME2 and shorter than DAO just as the devs said.

Not to mention time added for standing like a fool in front of Fenris just taking one screenshot after the other, or just staring at him *drooling*....also kissing him over and over again if there's an option to do so.

Sadly I have a PS3..so mods aren't as bountiful as on PC:(( at least that I'm aware of )
It would be wonderful if everytime your character and Fenris knock boots you get a cutscene for it..not just a one time deal...there goes hrs of extra time being added on!

Honestly, I remember a bunch of reviews when DA:O came out. They put the length anywhere from 20 to 80 hours. I usually complete it in 45. I don't know how you could do it in 20 and I don't see 80 being feasible either. So I take all those things with a grain of salt. If ME and ME2 are anything to go by (what with featuring a voiced protagonist and all), I think we should probably expect around 30-35 hours, maybe more, maybe less. I care less about length as long as the content's amazing and the replay value's high.
My last playthrough of Origins I logged in nearly 100 hours. It's all dependent on the player.
Thank god! I was beginning to feel
And all the LI's might be bi, for real? :happy:

What is all this about Fenris dying? O________o And all LI being bi? The last is like a dream and the first thing like a nightmare ;_____;
About the duration of the game... well, my first playthrough of DAO took me 78 hours (78:04:10 h exactly, is my last file saved) so I'm no very worried, it depends a lot of the player.
by the way, I've just find this picture, and he just reminds me to our beloved

Yummy!! Very Delicious!
The tears were an attempt to summon Lord Gaider to get confirmation of Fen as a bi Li... as far as Fenris dying yes it would be a nightmare, but it was just being used as a method to provoke abundant tears for the mass tear sacrifice.

But like I said, I hope for you that Fenris will be the bi one, and I hope for the Anders fans that he will be the bi one. x3
I'm really happy with all the LI to be honest, I'm going to play as femHawke and I'm going to romance Fenris, Anders and Isabela (not in the same playthrough), so I only need one maleHawke for Merrill.

Heck even Mass Effect 2 skipping takes 30 hours for me when people claim it takes them 12 hours, I have no idea how they do that!
I will make DA2 never ending for me, by staring at fenris's hips for hours on end.
HA:devil:
The only thing i am worried about is the "open ending"

As for an "open ending"...well, that could mean so many things, really. Myself, I kinda like when endings are left a little messy (like life) and not all wrapped up tight. Some things are better left open to interpretation and imagination, imo.

k, thanks for clearing that up. I find it hard to fathom every LI being bi myself, BUT it would be a nice change of pace for a video game to accommodate the wants of everyone.Anyhoo, my Hawkette will be romancing Fenris and flirting heavily with everyone else. Bring it on!

Open endings are a good way to make up our own stories.

My first playthrough will be as follows:
- main storyline, side quests, companion interaction, gathering loot--->40 hours
- Fenris romance and Fenris-related----->50 hours
- Total time played---->90 hours
Edit: Regarding the open ended concerns, well, the devs have said that Cassandra will play an important part in DA3. Most likely DA2 will be open-ended, and DA3 continue where DA2 left off.

I agree, unless it's a KOTOR2 situation where the ending is SO ambiguous that you don't even know if your character or companions are alive. That was so annoying. <_<
