There's no way they're doing that. Gaider already confirmed there are s/s options, there's a magazine scan that talks about flirting with Fenris as mHawke and includes a screencap (not solid evidence but evidence that s/s isn't being ignored a la Mass Effect), a scrpit in demo files referring to a male kiss with Anders (though again not solid evidence), Isabela exists, etc etc.

While I only write FHawke/Fenris it's only because I have trouble writing from a male persepctive.

And Fenris/MHawke is AT LEAST as sexy as JackHarkness/Ianto.

I don't know why but somewhere along the lines I found I liked Fenris with mHawke better than LadyHawke. To be honest I'm to sure who I'll end up pursuing with my LadyHawke (she may have to be celibate, pining after Aveline) but I in my mind, the Fenris and mHawke lovin' is too hot to deny ....
I just hope Bioware hasn't left me pining twice

Hi i dont know if this has come up in this thread but I saw someone say they didn't like Fenris' voice and that it didn't suit him cause it was all manly and stuff. I think people are thinking of him too much as the exotic and flamboyant type, like Zevran. And I think bioware knew they'd be compared the moment they created another Elf. The fact that he is a taller, butcher, less physcally flirty and a much darker character I think makes him my favorite character yet. I know a lot of peopel are just gonna see him as a romance option, whether m/m AND m/f or just m/f remains to be seen, but as a character with unique powers and a dominant personality instead of a crybaby one, i think Fenris is gonna be a great character anyways .
OH OH OH! and also they said they are gonna try and do more "friendship-based" quests in one interview I think. Which would be awesome cause then you dont have to choose between the being lovers or being friends who barely talk past the main storyline thing. Anyways let me know if you agree/disagree with me

@jatman, I am pretty happy with Fenris' voice, consider it's one of the three VA TGP had in mind when he created the character (Howe = Tim Curry, Merrill = Eve Myles, and Fenris= Gideon Emery), and actually got affirmative reply when he request them to do the voicing.

As for the others who doesn't like it, haters gonna hate, life is to short to worry about that kind of thing.

The "Fenris-bi = True" is slowly getting there (but not official). Screenshot and article from a German magazine are showing Fenris initiating a flirt dialog with Hawke, and the fact that romances have been expanded. Now, there're different ways to intepret this, but Fenris being bi is strongly implied.

About some script they digged up from the PC demo (gosh, you guys are so talented).There were love_scene sound files for Isabela and Anders(for both
male and female Hawkes) so som people are taking that to mean "Anders
and Isabela are the bi ones."

However... there were NO love_scene files for Fenris and Merrill, and we KNOW they're LI's, so it's very inconclusive.

Then this German magazine comes out, outing Fenris as a S/S LI, and now people are even more confused.

I think it's pretty simple. He's either bi or same sex. Though more logically bisexual.

I find it so hard to believe anyone can complain about Gideon Emery voicing someone you can romance. Obviously they are not aware of Balthier's love-god status

Yes, it is possible to flirt with non-romanceable npc's. Gaider posted that a few months ago in this thread. He was a little vague about it (in my eyes, though could be language barrier).

I still think it could go either way, Anders or Fenris (cuz I feel pretty sure they aren't all bi). It could be Fenris because of that article, but on the other hand it could easily just be a flirt line that goes nowhere (since we know that we can flirt with non-LIs). It could be Anders because of the male kiss demo files, but those could easily mean nothing too. 

I'm pulling for Anders because he's the only m/m romance I'd want to play.
