First Moon Pt 3 (final)

--------------------------------------------------------------
When he realised it was her, his breath drew back. Surely it could not be? He looked at her face.
Yes, it is her.
He followed her face down towards her neck, due to the dress's cut his eyes wondered down further than he should. He had never seen her out of armour, her hair flowed around her bust and was thick and lustrous.
It's Hawke!
As he gazed from the side of the tree, he wondered whether he should walk over or run before she'd kill him for following her. Both options had good and bad points. He decided to get away while he could. He placed his right foot backwards, but not as gently as he should, a branch snapped and echoed louder than it should.
Bloody hellWhy had he not checked, all of his skills he had learnt not to be detected were a waste at that precise moment.
-------------------------
As soon as she heard the snap, her body went into "rogue mode" and she got up with a speed of light, whikst grabbing her knife from her boot.
What an idiot I am, what use would this be against anything but a single enemy?"Whoever's there COME OUT!"
She waited. Nothing.
"I know you're there, show me your face and I may show mercy"
She felt ridiculous making such threats in a dress, but she thought it best to get the upper hand. She heard a rustle and the fgure came out from the light gathering ot trees to the right. Her eyes focused, the person was in the shadows.
"FURTHER OUT, IN THE MOONLIGHT"
The figure stepped into the light, his markings shone just like the stars along with his hair.
"Fenris, you scared the hell out of me"
"....I'm sorry...Hawke"
"Why are you here? Did you follow me?!"
"Well, yes and no"
"Excuse me"
"Well yes I followed you, but I didn't know it was you"
His green eyes stared into her own, he locked in on her. She had always found him handsome, from the first day she met him. Elf or not. She had stared at him in safe moments. Thinking thought's she should not.
Hawke, concentrate!
She looked at her dress and she blushed with embarrassment.
"Fenris, I'm sorry you should see me like this"
He stepped forward as quickly as she said it. He was less than a foot in from of her and edged in closer. It was almost instinctive. He looked at her face closer, her features were soft which he had not noticed before, her eyes were bigger and brighter too. She was beautiful.
"Hawke do you know what they say about this lake?"
Hawke shook her head and her hair rustled over her blushing face.
Act like the champion and stop acting like a girl
It was almost as he had heard her thoughts.
"Hawke, I think you sometimes forget that you are a woman, albiet sometime's an annoying one"
Her eyes jolted to his but before she could say anything.
"There was a lady here, centuries ago, apparently she was beautiful and young. I can't remember her name. She had many suitors. She did not love one of them. Her heart belonged to her fathers elven slave. He had attended to her throughout most of her life, as she had listened to his"
He walked closer to Hawke and ushered her to the edge of the lake.
"When her father found out about the affair, he had him killed. She was devastated, the night after she walked down to this lake, where they had first kissed. She wore a white gown and walked into the depths of the water, letting herself go. She drowned herself. She knew she would never love any but him. It is said to this day, her beauty left her body and embodied this lake. I heard in the spring it is even more a sight to behold"
She had watched him as he told her the tale. Hearing the heartbreak had hit her harder than she thought. A tear fell down her cheek. His hand was on her cheek before she even saw the movement. She grabbed his hand and slowly placed it from her face.
"Don't toy with me Fenris"
He grabbed her arm and swung her around, pulling her close. Her head only just reached his eyes, she lowered his head to hers, his lips just lightly touching. He placed his hand in her hair and held it. Fenris placed his lips against hers hers and she fell into him. She was warm and light, he felt no pain.
He knew then why he hadn't left.
He had fallen for her.
