Yes because Fenris and Zevran are the two elves you ever met in Thedas. Zatherian, Tamlen, Soris they're all invisible. Nope. All elves are bisexual because two male elves are.

Sorry just getting a little tired about the whole 2 male elves being bi means all elves are bisexual thing.

In that case I guess with Anders all bisexual men prefer women and are flirtatious if we're going tojudge groups of people using only 2 examples.

@jatman, I am pretty happy with Fenris' voice, consider it's one of the three VA TGP had in mind when he created the character (Howe = Tim Curry, Merrill = Eve Myles, and Fenris= Gideon Emery), and actually got affirmative reply when he request them to do the voicing.

As for the others who doesn't like it, haters gonna hate, life is to short to worry about that kind of thing.

I find it so hard to believe anyone can complain about Gideon Emery voicing someone you can romance. Obviously they are not aware of Balthier's love-god status

I mean c'mon he's the Leading Man

thank you for that.^_^

I guess I'm the only one who would be really happy that Fenris turned out to be straight as an arrow. Somehow if he was bi, it would kill all the tough/mysterious guy innuendo he now has (or rather seems to have with the lack of info on him). And even though he is almost an opposite of Zev, I probably would be comparing the two half the time.

Oh, and thanks for person who posted the link to '30 Seconds To Mars - Bad Romance'. It's like a drug - I just can't stop listening :D

I agree with you on that. Many examples in DAO shows that elves aren't bi-er (if this term exists...) than humans.
It's like bringing the gay stereotype with Anders about his single earing, cat and such. So, no reason to bring this "excuses" for them over and over again because they're not reasons at all.:)

Not to mention my MHN couldn't even tempt Cammen (of course this was after he got  a face lifte) into his bed. All elves are bi my ass.

Part of that for me is that Fenris comes across as the effeminate, delicate one when paired with the macho, muscled human male Hawke and I don't think that suits him

In what specifical example of the MHawke/Fenris pairing - since I assume you're talking about fanart, lacking all other visual representations of such a relationship - does Fenris come off as effeminate and delicate?

Seconding that question.  I don't really think his sexuality would really do much to kill his "mysterious allure", regardless of what it may be, any more than romancing him at all would.  Kind of difficult to remain a tough guy when you're cuddling with and opening up to someone whilst prancing naked around the bed chambers.

Ah yes, the 'all elves are gay' bull****.

All elves are gay, just like all humans are X, and all women are Y, and all black people are Z ... can you see where I'm going with this?

Leliana was bisexual. Isabela is bisexual. I guess that means all human women in BioWare games are bisexual, yes? Oh, wait, Morrigan wasn't. Nor are the majority of the others.

Shall I keep labouring the point?

The only two in Thedas you can romance thus far, yes. And yeah, the others (minus Zathrian) are characters you ONLY meet when playing one of the elf Origins. I don't count them, because I am counting characters you can meet regardless of player choices, and of those, I was obviously talking about love interests both in current games and future possible comparisons. That was pretty clear in my comment, take it however you want.

And I assure you, you are no more tired of that than I am of "Fenris HAS to be bi omg just make EVERYONE bi" thing.

In the case of Anders, you can't honestly say it would be MORE stereotypical to have him be bi than Fenris. I didn't say I was judging any group by two examples, only that Fenris being bi would only deepen a trend that seems to be the expected perception among fans in general (not just the Fen-girls). Trend, as in the dead-wife syndrome everyone was so afraid would happen again with Fenris as it had in other BW games.

@happy-emu - My Thoughts Exactly. I'm replaying Awakening now, and somehow Anders' dialog seems to have bi-edge to it, so to say. And he has a cat. And fluffy shoulders. Or it's just me being stereotypical

Funny, I didn't really pick up the bi vibe when he was talking about having a pretty girl at his side and all that.  And you are being horribly stereotypical.  I know plenty of straight guys that like cats.

But this is not the Anders forum, so wheeeee~

Fenris will be the same to me, bi or straight.  But I hope he's bi.

I actually feel the same way as the poster.

The version we see is a romantized version of him, while the thought of him being with men on the road would really hurt that outlook. Idk, probably from the lack of a decent precedent.

Call me sexist, but that's just the way it is for me at least.

P.S Before reply's start coming, yes I do have gay and Bi friends, and I could care less about their sexual orientation.

Yes because you don't met Soris in the Dungeon.
You don't meet Cammen (and have the option of sleeping with his girlfriend but not him).

If you're going to make a sweeping generalization like "elves" and not "elven party members" yeah you should take in chacters you meet even if they're only in one origin.

And I assure you, you are no more tired of that than I am of "Fenris HAS to be bi omg just make EVERYONE bi" thing.

Hilariously enough I'm sick of the eveyrone bi thing too.

How is Fenris more sterotypical? Because OMG BW did one gay elf before? Wow. Soo many. There is no trend other than in people's heads. Gaider has repeatedly said Zevran and Fenris have little in common. But apparently that's not enough. And let's ignore the fact that Anders may have more in common personaity wise than Fenris does. Because after all it's only race that matters.

On the sterotypical note: "Hey Sky! BW did a bi human so having Anders be one too is sterotypical!"

Oh great, so we get another bi romance where the man openly says he prefers women over men?  Yeesh.

Sterotypical Not so much that because Bioware did one gay elf before, but that elves in fantasy are considered mostly as the fey people, and all that word accompanies.

Either way I will agree with you on the race argument that race doesn't mean everything, sarcasm aside, due to Bioware wrighting personalities that truly differed each person's character in DA:O

Do you know what, whether Anders or Fenris or both are bi LIs, someone somewhere is going to say it's stereotypical.

Me, I'm just going to look at them for what they are -- people -- and get on with enjoying the damn game.

I would love to know which multiple elves (in comparison to all the works elves are in) that are bisexual so often as to become a sterotype.

The only elves being bi thing I've gotten was from boys who think anything that doesn't ooze testorone and rage is gay.

While romantacizing ties in how we see someone it also connects what we see them doing.

For some fan's, seeing lithe Fenris in the arms of another man would harm how they've pictured him as such a mysterious man that completly blows them away.

Again , I can't make this clear enough, I iz not sexist.

Well lets not forget all the elves who didn't tell us they were Bi in DA:O.

Just because you're the Warden doesn't mean that every elf in Fereldan has to walk up and tell us their true sexual orientation. For all we know Tamlen was bi.

In any case this is starting to divert from Fenris...

Edit: If that last point was directed at me then I'd suppose that means you haven't read my fanfic.

Fenris can be bi for all I care, I doubt he'll be like Zevran at all. He prob won't even say anything so you may not know for the better unless you read that MHawke can. Zevran was written that way.
