I just realized something. In the Demo, when Varric is exaggerating the story Hawke has the blood smear on his/her face. In the romance screenshot Hawke has that same smear. So the romance scenes are most likely going to be either an outright fabrication or an exaggerated take on what actually happened.

Just an idea.

Rose Pt 2

Hawke opened the letter and read.

Lake. Tonight...

----------------------

The day couldn't have gone slow enough, Hawke looked at herself in the
mirror, she had a bath and freshened up. The only changed tonight was the lack of dress, she loved that dress but it was the only one she possessed. Her light fabric armour will do. She felt worried over the letter, perhaps Fenris had a change of feelings. The thought of him saying she didn't want her made her stomach turn, just like the way when
Carver had been struck down before. When she looked up she saw a lone tear escaping her eye.

She walked to the front door. She looked for her mother and sister but no sign. The sky was as clear as it was
before, the moon was trying to get past the clouds, but they were thick with overdue rain. As Hawke paced down the alley, she argued whether she should go back for more suited attire.

Forget the rain....

The walk seemed longer than it did the night before, her boots beated down on the dry dirt. She felt more on edge, the feeling unsettled her. By the time she reached outer Kirkwell, her uneasiness was suddenly known.
She felt around her, touched every pocket and holdall.

No weapon....damn

She stopped and stared at the path towards the lake, should she risk leaving unarmed? Hawke continued on. She stayed alert, if she felt anything she'd head back, but the thought of Fenris waiting for her gaveher comfort. His strength and capabilities were proven. As she approached the lake, she imagined seeing him by the lake being lit by the moon, but as the lake came into view, nothing.

Her stomach turned.

What if he doesn't show?

She knocked that thought back to where it came, why would he invite her and not come? She would not sit, she felt the light rain begin to fall. Rain was a heavy dislike for her, harder to see, to hear, to fight. The moon had dissappeared due to sheer amount of clouds.

A little longer...

She heard a slight sloshing sound, footsteps..

The rain started to become heavier, she turned. The only thing she felt was a sudden pain to the side of her head.

The mud softened her fall and she could taste the blood coming out ofher mouth, the punch had been hard and precise. Hawke spat the blood out quickly.

No teeth, good.

She got up and looked around, the rain was even heavier now, Hawke could not see one foot in front of her. She focused her hearing waiting. To her right she heard the swing, she ducked and swung out.

Damn it....

Her arm had missed and she felt the weight on the back of her neck. She fell again, a kick from the opposite side.
Therewere at least two of them. She got up and ran forward, not sure whether she was running towards the lake or not. Blood seeped into her eyes, even though the rain cleansed her, more blood would come. She felt the
grab one her arm and turned and used her other to break.

Snap

The unkown assailant let out a scream and she twisted his arm even more, trying to rip it off, but the other grabbed her by the hair.

"So much for the champion" he leered into her ear.

He pulled her hair harder.

"Who are you?"

"Doyou seriously think your the only one to hire in this town? With your escapades did you think no one would retaliate? We just had to wait or get you on your own, when we saw you come here last night, what an
opportunity. and your an elf lover"

When he said elf, she could hear the distate in his voice, as he spoek to tried to break his grip,
she had never encountereed before, or she hadn't been training enough.

"Get off me"

"Such a beautiful woman, your are" his mouth close to her ear.

She could feel his tongue. The one whose arm she broke got up, she could
see better the rain was leaving. His arm was twisted and turned, the
bones sticking out snapped. His eyes said it all.

"What a sweet little thing"

In the screen, the door is WIDE OPEN. He probably just waited until they were deeply distracted with each other, then plopped down on the stairs with a goblet of wine for the show... to which Isabela may or may not have been invited. (why can I imagine Varric and Isabela sitting there watching everything, then nudging each other the next day and giving poor Hawke and Fenris knowing looks... and probably plenty of lewd remarks and jokes).
