That would be tricky. Family is something very precious and sacred to me, I suspect it would be the same for Hawke.
And I doubt the elf would want you to sacrifice your sibling and/or mother for him.
You know my guess.

Er...toughy. Depends on the relationship he has with my Hawke and who the sibling is. If it's Carver, they I'll choose Fenris; Bethany or Leandra, choose them unless Fenris and Hawke are in love.

Not the only one, just one of the apparent few. Or at least one of the few who won't go into weeping hysteria if he's not bi.

Honestly, Anders has always pinged my bi/gay-dar just a bit in Awakenings. It's obvious he likes women a LOT, but he strikes me (by dialog and personal likes/dislikes) as bi-curious, even if he may have never been with another male. Too bad so many people read that one snippet of a short story and write him off as a homocidal cannibal instead of a very confused, afflicted, frightened and angry man who was backed into a corner and unwittingly became the host of a demon whom he thought was a spirit of Justice.

Again, that's just my personal take and we'll see. But yeah, if Fenris is bi that kind of trends for every other male elf in Thedas to seem that way, and that's just sad.

I agree with you about Anders.  I see so much more potential for a great m/m romance with him because of his situation. I really, really wanna try out both straight and gay romances with him if I can, whereas with Fenris I'm only interested in an m/f romance. Part of that for me is that Fenris comes across as the effeminate, delicate one when paired with the macho, muscled human male Hawke and I don't think that suits him... whereas when he's paired with the female Hawke he doesn't seem so effeminate in comparison. I think M!Hawke looks better paired with the guy who's more on par with him appearance-wise, Anders. It's hard to explain, really... Fenris/M!Hawke just looks unequal to me right now (Fenris' background of slavery and abuse doesn't help). I don't like hetero  romances where the girl is this delicate, tiny flower compared to the big, strong man who towers over her either.

p.s. But perhaps it'll help my issue with this if I can create a pretty boy version of Hawke to pair with Fenris.  We'll see.

Wow as a gay man I can totally understand this! Fenris is Elven so obviously looks quite hauntingly beautiful anyways, but the macho edge makes him more likeable and standoutish. I like this a lot and even though I hate the stereotype that gay men have to be effeminate, he would look it compared to any version of Hawke i think PURELY for the fact that Hawke is human and therefore bulkier/taller in build by racial traits.
 And in making him the bi romance they'd be doing what EVERYONE does to girls in most fiction and making them lose their tough personality in favor of the "big strong man". Doing that to Fenris would completely undermine his brilliant beautiful-but-badass personality. Dont get me wrong I'd love him to be the bi LI, as I think he's EXCELLENT! But when you raised that point I was like "OH MY GOD THATS SOOOO TRUE!" Good call

I'd personally save my family. Even if I love that elf to pieces.

Making it to 1000 pages before release is pretty hollow (not to mention spammy) if the majority of the posts are about districts, cults, cocoons, tables, coming out from under tables, sitting under tables, retreating under tables... =/

'Tis Hawke. Or at least, that'll be one of the endings. Or one of the party members (depending on relationship) will die for Hawke. Or one of the party members (depending on armor upgrades) will die because they are ill-equipped. (Is guessing)

Whoever has to die, if any at all, it'll probably be the player's choice. If anyone is gonna have perma-death that isn't the result of a choice the player has the option of making, it's gonna be a non-companion NPC. Like... a relative. Mama Hawke? Nooooooo

I can't remember where I read it, but there was something about how perhaps the lyrium burned into Fenris may eventually cause severe side effects.. or drive him crazy kinda like how some templars get after excessive lyrium exposure...do you think that there is a possibility that somewhere down the line you might have to decide to help him get rid of the lyrium on his body?
