Love the ficcies! Zombie Geisha - WHAT HAPPENS??!!
It's a pillow. Fenris "escapes" unscathed.
You sure? *Gasp* maybe thats what happened to Fenris' knee feathers?
Don't you know? It was Brutus, the smirking!Mabari that ate them.
@Pseudo: I can just imagine that moment of awkwardness as they're all together at the table for breakfast.
Hawke: (glaring) I hate you.
Fenris: You love it.

It was early morning; Fenris was walking down the corridor in the Amell estate. On his way in he had noticed that Bethany and her mother had left for the day. He hoped that Hawke was still here however. He had so many things to tell her that he didn’t know where to start. Memories of last night came flooding through his mind as he neared her door.
Hawke sat on the railing of the balcony facing the giant lake of Kirkwall. It was late, midnight maybe. Fenris had come to her estate to return the cloak he had borrowed earlier in the day. He had found the house empty it seemed. Bethany and her mother had retired for the night and Hawke was nowhere to be seen. He headed up stairs in search of her, curiosity egging him on. He had searched all over when he finally saw her hair shine in the moonlight through the door to the balcony. He paused, what would he say, “Oh I was just in your house late at night and went searching for you when I couldn’t find you.” Yes, that sounded completely absurd, even though it was the truth.
He walked out on the balcony quietly. She didn’t notice him, or just simply ignored him; he figured the latter, nothing slipped past this woman. He walked closer to her, perhaps two feet away.
“Hello Fenris.”
Hello Fenris? Not, What are you doing in my house Fenris? He could never predict this woman, that was for certain.
“Hello Hawke. I apologize if I’ve interrupted your thoughts, but I came to return your cloak.” He said.
“What? Oh, my cloak. Thank you for returning it.” She replied in turn.
Something about her was off. She was not smiling her flirtatious smile which he had come to love. She seemed…distracted.
“Is there something troubling you?” He would never have bothered to ask any of the other people he travelled with. But then again, none of them really mattered to him as she did.
“I was simply thinking.”
So like her, to never want to let anyone know what she was truly thinking.
“Please, I can sense something is wrong. And it would ease my mind if you would tell me what it is.”
She gave him a look of curiosity, as if she couldn’t understand why it was important to hem. But she was kind, and told him what was troubling her.
“This day many years ago, my father died. He left me in charge of the family. He left me bound to the family. I understand I am the eldest child. But any chance of me having my own life was destroyed when he died. Not to mention the Blight can definitely damper ones intentions of being independent.”
Fenris thought quietly, she felt chained to her duty of caring for her family.
“Is your life not independent enough from your family here? While your sister does accompany us a bit, your mother stays here or tends to the market. And from what I’ve seen you rarely talk with her here.” He said.
“That’s not really the issue. I love my family, yes. But if one day I decided to up and leave Kirkwall I couldn’t because my family is here and I must care for them, or bring them with me. Not that I would leave, I just want a choice in the matter.” She sighed. Then looked up at him. She stared straight into his eyes. He was infatuated with her dark brown gaze.
He stepped closer to her.
“You needn’t feel as though you are trapped. I’m sure if you ever decided to leave that your family would understand. I’m sure Bethany would step up and take your place.” He said. He dreaded even contemplating her leaving. It was a gruesome thought.
Hawke looked at him thoughtfully. Then he saw a change in her gaze. It became more intense, though he thought it were impossible to do so.
“How is it that you are so wise?” she asked. She stepped closer to him.
He was completely enraptured in her. His feelings for her were rushing to the surface. He tried to keep his cool.
“It’s one of my talents.”
“I’d like to see your other talents as well.” She said seductively.
He couldn’t take it. Was it possible that she had moved even closer to him? He snatched her up in his arms and kissed her passionately. The kiss lasted for what seemed too short to him. He pulled away from her slightly, realizing she had her arms wrapped around him. It didn’t hurt? Why didn’t it hurt? As he pondered this in mystery she looked at him tenderly .
He knew what she wanted and kissed her again. Long enough this time to satisfy himself. This time she pulled away however, and whispered in his ear.
“It’s quite late, love.” She smiled regretfully at him.
He sighed and knew what she said was true. He needed to go back.
She lead him to downstairs and to the front door. As they were at the threshold she called his name.
“Fenris!”
“Yes?”
As he turned she grabbed him and kissed him fiercely. Again, this kiss did not last long enough for Fenris.
As she pulled away she said.
“I wanted to make sure you’d think of me tonight.” She winked at him and shut the door, him on the other side.
Of that, she should rest assured, she was always on his mind.
As he recalled himself back to reality he remembered where he was; in front of her door.
“Knock you fool.” He muttered to himself.
He knocked and waited.
“Come in!” she yelled.
With that he opened the door and walked in.

We are much better than those who wallow without those who share our cause and intrests. It is a fault on yourself if you think we live our lives on this thread, for this is just whipped cream of humor and shared loves with good company and discussion.
If you find good company tiresome, then good day to you.
