I think he'll be more cold/cynical (coping mechanism? ) with some arrogance than a rude jerk like e.g. Bishop was (I know he's Obsidian but he was really a jerk).

What gave me that impression (I've said this before) was the way he interacted with Hawke in the gamestop video: The way he chilly kind of ironically said it was "impressive" they were unscathed and rolled his eyes when talking about the bounty hunters.

I would still love this kind of romance:

I can't. I keep getting annoyed and many of my PCs have similar traits to me. (Disliking of arrogance, dislike of needless cruelty) even the darker ones think those kinds of things are pointless and signs of a lesser mind. 

So when someone has one of those traits the PC gets irritated, I get irritated and then we feed off each others irritation until I can't stand the character anymoe.

Gah I wanted to be able to chew Morrigan out just once. Point out how damn stupid her logic is but nooooo I can't do that. lame lame lame. 

I hope at the very least if Fenris has a logic fail Hawke can point it out.
